I tried ringing the 0121 number that I posted last night and received an automated message about dividend payment details and for further information to select option 1, which I did. There was a ringing tone but no-one picked up and after a few rings I heard the same automated message again so no luck. Thanks Kateh for the info, I will now have to write to Equiniti to try and get my shares back.0

Thanks for the 0121 number, Eileen, I wouldn't have got very far without it!
And thanks too to Tabath for emailing Martin - it would be great if he could investigate this as well. It would be interesting to get some idea of the number of people affected, and whether we are all below the 2500 holding threshold.0 -
I'm another.
Cheque today, below 2500, no option previously.0 -
The gumph with the options was really not very clear and if I hadn't read it very closely then it would probably have been recycled in the blue box. Im pretty sure it came with a voting form rather than on its own and could quite easily have been overlooked. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Another disgruntled cheque receiver. Never had anything through to me to explain what was happening. Just got a cheque, not sure what to do next. Would never have sold these as I've owned them from the beginning. Any advice would be welcomed.0

I too have unexpectedly received a cheque for 2200 shares. I received a lot of paperwork from Friends Provident regarding mergers etc and did read everything which came through the post. I have absolutely no recollection of giving anyone permission to sell my shares on my behalf. If the shares were sold by default (in the absence of a signature) I think this is VERY misleading. Surely it would have been a whole lot less misleading and a more honest to ask for a signature to sell the shares. I feel I have been misled and cheated of my shares which I have held for many years and would certainly not be selling them at their lowest value.
I will be writing to complain to Equiniti. If enough of us complain maybe we will be listened to.
Are people in the same situation cashing their cheques or sitting on them until we get an answer?0 -
I've still got my cheque and won't be banking it until I get a reply to my letter as I want my shares back.0
-
I had 209 shares and they've sent me a cheque for £165.94.
I've written off to Equiniti stating I want the shares back, however on the counterfoil for the cheque it mentions if I'd elected to have shares I should receive an opening balance from Computershare Investor Services PLC, the registrar for Resolution Limited.
Is it worth contacting them incase they can do anything? I too will not be banking the cheque.0 -
I just spoke to someone at Resolution and he suggested perhaps the most simple solution is to cash the cheque and open a Computershare account and buy the Resolution shares?0
