Thanks Lemon Tree... I'm really pleased that card's paid off now - although it's not left much room for manoevre until next payday. I know this is just a psychological thing though as I wouldn't have thought twice about going into the red previously, but... no more!

Hope you win on bingo! I won 60p today on my daily scratch cards. Very exciting!

will have to keep tryiing on bingo, even if i win no more i've won more than i invested so it's all good.
Just organised my car for the cam belt change, i'm terrified they'll mess the car up but that's just based on past history with a different garage. Certainly looks like the dealers were ripping me off with their quotes.
also psyching myself up to visit with the inlaws this long weekend coming. Need to get all pressy's sorted, finish making some and get cards written.

Hope you get your car sorted easily and it's not too costly. *fingers crossed*

Just won £2 on my free scratch cards - wooopee doooo! At least that's offset my shop bought lunch. So, do you play bingo online properly? (i.e. more than daily free scratchcards?). I've tried before when I was doing everything on Quidco as it meant I could get cashback, but not played since as don't want to lose money.... I'm chicken!

I found out last week that I need to attend a funeral for friend's LO this week - very, very heartbreakingly sad. It's awful. Will need to get flowers, have booked Travelodge already (as other end of country). Obviously, this means unbudgeted expense, but we'll deal with it.

Puts everything into perspective. Makes me think how fragile life is and makes me question further what I'm doing with my job/life. I don't want to wish my life away (esp not with the hols in between!), but I wish it was 2010 already and I'm further along with debt-busting and other grand plans as I totally feel like I'm coasting at the moment.

Sorry, *pulls herself up by boot straps*, I'm having one of those days... :o. Feeling bit miserable and stressed...but gonna try and snap out of it.

Tonight is free cinema night. Looking forward to a nice night out for hubbie and spending a bit of quality time together as he's been working, working, working of late.

    Onwards and onwards...

Really enjoyed the free cinema last night - SEX AND THE CITY :j:j:j. I am SO looking forward to the sequel! Pure escapism and fantasy, but I love it. One day, I will have a fabulous wardrobe....:p OH hadn't seen it and really enjoyed it too (tho I'm sure he'll tell the blokes in work he thought it was a dull girl film!). Other expenses were car parking (£2) and snacks/drinks (£6). Bit cross with the latter as could have spent less if planned better. Oh well.

No further progress on the job hunting front. One agency had the courtesy to contact me to say that they wouldn't be taking things any further.. but I've had a resounding silence from the others. I've seen a seriously GREAT job advertised elsewhere though. Fab opportunity, good money. So, will apply for that one too over the weekend once I have some time and headspace to do a really good application. I'm now seriously worried about work... things are strange and uncomfortable in the office a the moment. I'm not sure how much is in my mind, but it's not nice to have a sick feeling in your stomach in work, is it?:mad::mad:

On a more positive note, things are looking fairly encouraging on the business idea front. Can't wait to do more with the idea!

Quick spending update from yesterday and prev night for funeral:

    Food/wine from co-op - £4
Bar (one glass of wine!) - £8
    Breakfast from services - £11
Snacks and water from services - £3
    Car parking - £3

    Total = £29

Just need to nip/tick from spends elsewhere to stay within budget for this month.

Spent £12 in ALDI last night on veg, cheese, milk, wine and sweets, and £2.90 in pub. Friday night is pub night, but did loads better last night as OH and I got two halves of lager rather than my usual 2 x large glasses of wine and his 2 x pints. It all helps, I s'pose!

I'm not managing to rack up any NSDs ATM :-( However, this is mainly because I'm now also counting our joint spends - e.g. what hubbie buys in pub for us, as spend days. I figure it's out of 'our' money, so I can't really say it's a NSD. Not sure what other people do for this type of spending?!

    Morning Catz :)

I think how you classify an NSD is up to you, I don't think there's a hard & fast rule

Well done on the reduced spends on drinking tho ;)
