  • bz You'll probably get used to blonder in a couple of days. I had my eyebrows tinted whilst I was away (the had virtually disappeared). For the first day I felt I looked like an ageing starlet, but I am really pleased with the result now I'm used to it.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

sue I consider myself well and told off at going away at the same time as unity, but do feel I have to point out that I booked it first *g*
Hugs to help you get over the horrid week you've had.

unity Glad the injection is finally done and hope you find some relief soon. Pleased you enjoyed holiday and had some rest.

In mitigation ;) it was an ultimatum from DS/Catsitter, who suddenly discovered that he had a week when 'Dad's Taxi' wouldn't be required. I have decided that I like being spontaneous though :D. The worst kind of holiday is one where you make loads of arrangements months in advance, you get really excited only to find it doesn't live up to your expectations - hence you come back with an awful sense of anti-climax. A cheaper last minute booking, without much time to think about it is much better IMO and if it doesn't meet your expectations, at least you got a bargain :D. That being said of course - if like you, I had a particularly favourite place, I would book well in advance to make sure of getting the dates I wanted.

I really hope the injections work - I'll send you a pic of the lovely bruises and swelling :o. I thought it was very good of the consultant to show me everything that was going on inside me - although I must admit I'd have preferred to have been watching it happen to someone else on TV :D

    unity and cwta
it is good to have you both back and im pleased you all had a good time away.

It's good to be back home, we've decided it's nicer to have a couple of holidays at different times rather than a fortnight altogether. My cousin spends a lot of time on small informal cruises so that might well be our next trip :T. I shall however be sure to co-ordinate with CWTA to avoid dates clashing next time :o.
hope the pain settles downasap unity, follow orders and do rest up well.
cwta thats a shame about the horse riding, maybe next time they will have both a mounting block and insurance that covers :)

I have no option but to rest up unfortunately :o IYKWIM? It's very painful and my legs are unsteady so I think I'm going to have to use the spacka chariot to go and see about changing our mortgage as our special rate ends this weekend.

I should know by next Thursday if the injections have worked - as that's when I have to telephone and tell them (on one of those daft pain scales:rolleyes:) how bad the pain is from 1 to 10 . Well it's about 15 at present! _pale_:cry:

Glad you got the bag you wanted Sharon :T. Just to add to the 'fashion forum' bits :D DH surprised me with a beautiful handmade gold ring from a jeweller in Lindos and a gorgeous leather bag made locally in Rhodes old town. He's great with spontaneous things like this and I think it's nicer than getting something I perhaps wouldn't really want - just because it's a birthday or Yule.

Normally I buy my bags from that lovely leather shop in "The Shambles" and anyone who has ever visited York will no doubt have been tempted into shopping in there :D.

I'm off to look for some Birkenstock sandals in the on-line shoe sales now, as I lost the buckle from mine whilst away - so I won't see that again . Mind you - I got them for a tenner in a sale last year so I don't feel as bad as I would've had I paid full whack ;).

Anyone been watching The Tudors whilst I was away? I didn't realise it had started .

Okay I know it is historically inaccurate and highly unlikely that Henry VIII looked like some greasy haired Cockney spiv - but I do like Henry Cavill - hence my avatar.

No doubt I can manage to see part one on iPlayer or via the web. I was catching up on last week's episode of 'True Blood' last night so I even missed the first half of episode two :o.

I'm looking forward to Tom Hardy in "Wuthering Heights" tomorrow night - I think he'll make a brilliant Heathcliffe and there have been some good ones ;) including Sir Lal and my fave, Timothy Dalton.

I'll qualify this being off-topic by saying that I believe a good looking bloke is like chocolate - producing endorphins that help with the fibro pain ;):D:rotfl:.

Whilst on the subject - what about "Desperate Romantics?" That actor from "Being Human" certainly makes a great Dante Gabriel Rosetti.

I'm sure I will. I think the colours will settle down with washing too, it's just a bit bizarre atm! Nice tho...but bizarre nonetheless.

  • paw my sister has one and loves it, nuch easier for her to carry round than a book for reading on commute and she doesnt have to not read if she finished the current book as it holds a lot at once.

unity i hope its not long until it does settle down and you know soone rthan thursday if it worked or not. enjoy catching up on the hunky men.
  • Still not quite back to Earth yet, but s/e is winding her way home so house is now quiet *g*

black paw Yup, I did win one, but it has turned out to be faulty. I wasn't sure if there was a fault at first, but bloke on Scillys had one and comparing the two made it obvious. I think it's one of those things you love or hate. Tis certainly easier for bigger books rather than having to hold them and audio book function, but download books are expensive still. Sony have just brought out a new version (at £249!!), so may be worth waiting a while as the price may drop on these original ones? although run the risk of them not being available much longer.

I've found this company in Edinburgh to be quite competitive for things like this: http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/shop/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1&keywords=Sony+reader&amp3sid=o3l33uilfef6gh5jad18lfjeu2&x=0&y=0#guide_result

They are really good if you contact them with queries and their customer service is excellent too.

hello all -just back from sisters -took nephew home -and had his birthday party-he is 10 tomorrow -he is one lucky boy-was born at 25wks and weighed 1lb 11oz-he is now slightly smaller in height for his age and has some concentration /retention problems but otherwise fine.So he is a little extra special to us.
Feel really tired now-not surprising l suppose!!!
Nice to have you back CWTA and Unity -our little family are all together again-and nearly ready for the WEDDING
-l really feel we will all be there in spirit on the day-if we can get BZ to give us a rough time of the reception we could decide on a time and all raise a glass of bubbly/orange squash! to the happy couple at the same time.
:j this money saving is such fun:T
