terrierlady, the sign at the left says "free to use". What money do you speak of? Is there free money somewhere? I want free money. Give me money.0

My comments on this are I am glad the Thanks button has gone, because I felt that by some I could easily be abused and held little worth in real terms because it only worked as a positive, not a negative.
I chat on another vBulletin forum, and their system works thus:
Reputation System
A user can be Plussed or Negged depending on what the reader feels of their comment.
Users build up their reputation through their positive repping.
Whilst this can cause elitism, it is not much different to over-thanking, and the benefits are that if there is a nuisance poster then other board users have the power to negative rep them. Each profile shows the rep underneath their user name (up to 11 green bars, or down to 6 red bars), and if a user is negative repped enough - say for mega spamming - they are auto banned.
The Mods then have the option to review their registration.
Similarly if someone says something funny, posts something useful etc you can rep them for it, whereas 'thanking' someone for posting something funny seems churlish. You can only rep each user once every 20 reps and only rep 10x per day - this is to stop repping-circles (abuse)
See this in action here (genral pap forum best to look at) -> http://www.weebls-stuff.com/forums/index.php?
Edinburghlass - the report a post button was always there

i always use my aol browser for everything but now ehen i sign in on the chat forum ..it goes through confirming i've logged in ... but i'm not.
if i then go in through internet explorer ..everything works fine .. as now.
STILL ... got the situation of "300 recent posts" still only shoeing by post heading not thread detail.
I have had this problem too and am on aol, although I have found if you make sure the tick is in the remember me box by the login it does then log you in.I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here0 -

I thought they meant the last post they read .............not the last post on the thread0 -
If you've only registered today you won't have seen it.
it used to be next to the QUOTE button at the bottom of the message and was a way for people to say "thankyou" and it showed under your postcount.
I often thought it had gotten the way of a competition though sometimes. (I'll not name any examples!)It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Out of interest, where does the post count come from, mine claims I have posted over 380 times, I would be suprised if it was over 50? I noticed it jumped up a few months ago?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. That is odd, a search of your posts only shows 27 posts.I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here0 -
Is it just me, or is the search function not working properly? For example if I search the forum for 'Freemans' (as I know there's a thread on the Freemans Samsung LCD TV), it returns no results.
I don't seem to be able to search threads, or the forums.0 -
try freemans instead of Freemans, the search doesn't like caps0
