Can anybody tell me why I don't have a triangle with an exclamation mark in it on my posts? Also why there is an 'edit' box at the bottom of my post? There are also some initials at the bottom of my post - I don't know what they meanJesus loves you:j Everybody else thinks you're an idiot:rolleyes:0

buffers, the triangle in the bottom left hand side is so you can "report a post" for whatever reason, its unlikely you will be reporting your own post so that is why you don't see one in your own posts
The letters are a signature that has mistakenly attatched itself to you. You can edit this by going into your UserCP in the bar along the top of the forum and going to edit signature.
There is a great thread in This Site, with an A-Z of using the forums were you should find most answers on posting in the forums
edited to add: the edit button will only appear in your own posts as you are the only person able to edit this unless its a Board Guide or Abcon.0 -
Thank you so much for this info. I am such a novice on the 'techie' side but with your help I have got rid of the 'signature' that attached itself to my mail. The 'edit' box should have been obvious to me but .................
Thank you for the info on the site that will help me with future posts.Jesus loves you:j Everybody else thinks you're an idiot:rolleyes:0 -

Hi Martin,
Hope this is the right place to post a question. I have been into credit card bagging for a while but have now paid off all but one (money is in premium bonds and just can't bring myself to cash them in, value is £12500.00). I have paid the others off because we hope to move house in the not to distant future and will be applying for a new (and larger) mortgage.
I am keeping an eye on our credit file and so far all but one have been updated. The outstanding one still shows a debt of £13500 although this was actually settled 1st Feb 05, I have been in contact with credit expert and they have said that it will be updated when info is received from cc company.
The one thing that does show on the file is that although are balances are all at zero, we have the potential to borrow about £80k on credit cards, so my question is should I close these accounts down completely or will this not make any difference when applying for our mortgage. Also should I cash in the last one in and pay it off (the 0% period is till November), I would like to keep it if possible as we have already won £200 this year.
Would be really grateful for you help on this, would hate to lose out on a house by not being prepared.
Thanks£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

kazd this thread started out as a bit of fun and is not really the best place for an answer to your question.
Can I suggest you copy your question and post it in the Credit Card Board. I think probably the advice you get there will be to cancel at least some of the credit cards you are holding as you say you do have rather a large credit limit. However the guru's up in Credit Cards will be able to advice exactly which ones to keep if you post the cards and limits you have.
Hope this helps and welcome to the site!
ps you're welcome buffers and welcome to you and mountainofdebt (and may you get down to just a molehillofdebt) :beer:0
