If you look at the actual T&C’s you will see that it does say that discount is not applied to a final bill.

You receive terms and conditions when you come to us or switch tariffs.

You will however, receive the discount as normal if you are a house move customer and you are taking your supply with you, or the property is already supplied by E.ON.

    Hope this helps.

I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"
  • Thanks for the reply Helena.
The FAQ item should provide that information, or state it is subject to the T&C with a link.
Have Eon been challenged about this through the ASA?

    Hi paceinternet :hello:

I can certainly put your suggestion forward about putting a link from the FAQ to the T&C's, as I think this is a good idea.

I don't think it's an issue for the ASA as the info we put in the FAQ is our choice. The FAQ function is just there to help if customers have a quick question, but this info does have to be in the T&C's, which it is.
