    Yes, wasnt it gumbis post?

Then again maybe not, cant see it!

Yep it was me.....It was abot the different divisions with Picture that were actually trading companies within their own right.

The Insurance part was seperate to the loan arm etc.. All very murky and the main reason that it took the FSCS legal team to unravell all the information.

Now that this is all done it should have bearing on the cases going forward so I wouldn't worry about it
  • Has any Picturites lurking out there received there No Claim Bonus cheque from Picture since they were declared in default ?

You may recall that Ive been offered mine and after a few phone calls to all interested parties, I am of the opinion that accepting the money from Picture is better than waiting for the FSCS as it makes no difference apparently.

That is of course that Picture actually have the funds to pay this from their coffers!!!!
(Bloody should do what with I have to pay them every month!!!)

So has anybody recd a cheque from Picture in the last year ?
If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!! :D

We have received a cheque Barloo. As far as I am aware the insurance part of Picture is a separate company so you shouldn't have any problems getting the money.

This would usually come from the insurer anyway I think. Its usually the premium back but not the interest paid on it.;)
  • Ah positive news. Thank you, couldnt have happened at a more needed time. Barclaycard have started to play not very nicely and want debt repaid so this bonus should keep the wolves away for a while.

    Response from FSCS re- losses

you for your email of 20 September 2009 about your claim against Picture Financial.
The losses not covered by the Scheme, are in the case where abatement has meant that full compensation cannot be paid, however with insurance claims such as yours we compensate 100% of the first £2000 and 90% of the balance, therefore any recoveries we are able to make would not be passed on.
Your claim is currently with our outsourcers, Deloittes, and we aim to complete all claims within 6 months of declaring the firm 'in default'.
I hope this answers your query.
    Yours sincerely

Thanks busbyh at least they answered you fairly quickly. They obviously havent had the info they need from picture then for you, usual story still with deloitte, we aim to complete all claims within six months. I am sick of hearing that now. I am going to ring deloitte and see if mine is still there. Will let you know.

Yes, still the same old response:mad: athough still not really sure what abatement means , as we are still not getting the full compensation, and losing out on 10%. They will obviously just go by the rules set for Insurance claims
