I asked if there was any chance of it being dealt with before the end of the month & was told that they have no idea!!!
I am really getting to the end of my tether.
Does anyone know the proceedure for puting in a hardship claim to the FSCS?
We are really struggling, & have been holding off applying for an IVA as the PPI money will help save us from having to go down the IVA route.
The longer this is taking the worse our debt situation is getting.
Can anyone give some advice on what to do?
Hi coffeetower,
I have just spoken to deloittes myself and have been told the same re my claim with loanmakers. The info is back but is waiting to be worked on.
My case is a priority case and I had to send fscs an income/form to prove hardship.
I really do not think that this has made much difference in the speed the case has been handled going by the dates and timescales that others claiming have given on the forum.
I think it might speed things up when its gets to fscs.
Hope it all works out for you.
Does anyone have any advice as to how long the process takes once info is back from the lender before a decision is made?
Is it likely at this stage that the claim is likely to be upheld.
Thanks0 -

Hi there I would let them know of your hardship with your reasons and request they take a look at your case as a priority case.
I would let them know your issues here, good luck, please let us know how you get on.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
As soon as they receive all the info they require, and in your case with it being one of the priority ones, they should aim to get it done with within that fortnight of receiving all they require, I would though contact them a few times a week, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi coffeetower, if FSCS now have the files, I don't think it will be long. It all depends with them, who you speak to. Some are more forthcoming than others.
Try and hold with the IVA as i'm sure you will hear something quite soon.

Hi hayston. As far as I am aware one it is with the FSCS it is only a matter of a couple of weeks.
They just need to check the figures tally with what deloitte have given.

The file hasn't even been sent by Deloittes to FSCS yet. Deloittes have said that they have all the information they need since the 20th Feb but they can't tell me when they will look at it or when they will be sending it to the FSCS.
Its so frustrating. We're in total dire straights & they are just sitting on the file, meanwhile our problems are getting bigger.
I tried emphasising to the guy at Delloittes just how bad a position we are in, but he was so uninterested & just kept saying that it was in the pile to be dealt with & he had no idea when it would be looked at.
Sorry for being so down, we are just getting to the desperation stakes.0 -

I know it is so hard waiting. Try my contact, he was brilliant.

He might just be able to help.
Don't ever apologise for being down. I know only too well what it feels like. We considered an IVA but just managed to hold out.

Latest update from Deloittes, they now think they will be in a position to send the claim to the FSCS within the next week.
I think it takes about 2-3 weeks when it gets to FSCS, is that right?
Fingers crossed!0 -

Ours was dealt with within a week when FSCS received our file, and we recieved the cheque three days after that. Good luck. Won't be long now :j0
