Letter recd from FSCS today saying that they note I havent banked my cheque as yet and asking whether or not 1) I had recd it or 2) Whether I had a problem with it!!!!

I dont believe it. A classic example of poor communication between departments and each not knowing what the other is doing.

I therefore phoned today to speak to the person who wrote me the letter and after explaining that I had a complaint and that I have received 2 letters from a different FSCS department advising that they were looking into it. I then pressed him that if they needed to have the cheque back why hadnt the other person requested it. A long pause .......then after a lot of umming and arrring on his part he meekly told me to return the cheque as I had a dispute and that they will reissue the cheque once there reinvestigation into my complaint is complete.

I told him no thanks, I will hold onto it thanks until I know the outcome. I mean it took that long to get it from them in the first place, they got to rip it out of my clenched figures first.:-)

Still no news on the NCB front.
If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!! :D

  • AfTernoon one and all I received this email from the Fscs yesterday and wondered what to make of it does this mean that they are supporting my claim and have now passed it on to those people who shall remain nameless or is this just the beginning of a long drawn out process (judging by some of you on here) if someone could advise me of what happens now I would be most grateful, should we be getting excited or have they not made there minds up? Do they write to p••••••e and say give them back the money you conned from them? I really have no idea at first I thought this could be positive but not so sure now.

You have submitted a compensation claim to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (“FSCS”).! To try to minimise the delay in assessing your claim, FSCS has forwarded your claim on to Deloitte to begin processing your claim.

We can confirm that we have received your application form from FSCS for your claim against Picture Financial Services plc and the initial reviews have now been completed. We will therefore begin processing your claim shortly and will contact you should any further information be required.

    Hi there

Good news then now that they have moved your case on to Deloittes to assess, before passing it back on to the FSCS again for payout.

Deloittes may require further information from you, not always, and they will write to you if this is the case, then if they do, if you have a scanner and any info they require, this would be the quickest method of sending then any documental, if they send you anything to complete, you can always fax this back to them as a quickest method, if you do not have a fax, your local library should.;)

Hope you won't be waiting too long now, good luck.
