I am second named and only covered for death, yet I have a medical condition which is highly likely to cause my death so a lot of use that would have been:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Accidental Death Cover is on the last page.

the agreement states as you have said above but it says first named borrower, so it is whoever is 1st named on the agreement, irrelevant as to whom you wanted covered

post if you need anything else:beer:

Yes mine is first named borrower which is OH, who has never spoken to Picture ever!

So if you cancel do you then get a rebate against the insurance as well?? What happens at cancellation cause they would really have to give you back at least 78% of the unused PPI too if the policy is still in force and cancelled? This could work out you get the full policy back and all repayments made to date, the NCB, the 78% pro rata rebate or more......

Honey2 was told if she chose to cancel the policy, she would need to contact insures herself. FSCS have instucted the insurers to pay her back £664.
Think that is correct, so it has to be in Honey's best interests to keep the policy as her OH has just been made redundant and it will be more beneficial for her to claim against redunancy than cancel for £664.

Is it not the 1st named customer that is covered but both for life cover only

    Honey 2 x

Yes thats right Honey 2, but reading that I would expect him to be covered if he had an accident (like you said lost a limb) but there is nothing in the policy that says this happens only accidental death if over 65!

So if had an accident he wouldnt be covered.

We started the loan in MArch 06 and cancelled the policy in Aug 08 and did not receive any refund, only a reduction in monthly payment, by £2:mad:
It was cancelled in haste without actually looking into it properly at the time.

Yep - the 1st borrower should be the one with the higher income than the 2nd borrower.
