Hello all this was posted on CAG and could explain why Honey2 could still go for redundancy? what do you think?
hi,i wasnt expecting to recieve anything,,your policy is in force,,you are only claiming against picture for selling you the policy,,remember picture no longer exists,,they trade under a new name,,everything with your policy stays the same,,as im now actually claiming on mine now,for the first time..its the fscs that pay you out ,not the insurance company,,,your claim is against picture,,they give you the money back as if you had not bought the policy,,it is up to you if you pay back the policy money ,then cancel it altogether..i put my claim in around the start of 08..DS1 12/10/04

I would think that will go on the same lines but who pays that Picture or the insurance co. If it is Picture then no but the insurance company then yes. If you have arrears then no you lose the no claims bonus. Thats me out:eek:marshallka wrote: »And the thing whereby you get so much back if you do not make a claim - what about that one?0 -

I got a phone call my cheque was posted yesterday he watched it getting franked and picked up 1st class post.
He also told me how much the cheque was for and what the break down is slthough it is all in the letter. He said congatulations if you don't get it this morning it will be tomorrow but bear in mind there are a few postal strikes still on.
Once I am calm will post details - Marshalka you are just about right with what you thought the calculations would be - Clever you! Thank you.

I was thinking that Marshallka, it is not clesr on my policy if it is 3 months arrears or 3 months in arrears, so I think I will check before I cancel my policy.
But if I am entitled to it thats up to another £9000 over the next 3 years I could get back and pay off the loan.
I would expect though the early payment penalty if anyone pays off a lump sum unless they see it as paying off the ppi.
My policy also says the insurer pays back the rebate after 3,4 and 5 years.DS1 12/10/04
