I haven't heard of anyone else, but I'm sure that I am not the only one. My financial adviser said he couldn't believe that the PPI was only for 5 years, but that we were actually paying for it for 15. I think that may have been the main reason for them deciding that it had been missold. Although then again, it could have been that only I was covered, even though the loan was in both mine and my husband's name.

So happy to hear though that yours is sorted out........

Yes its pathetic isn't it, ours was for over 25 years to cover for only 5, and only only covered my hubby as well, yet we both like yourselves had to sign.

I think we have all learnt to be a little greedy to how we used to live but some more greedy than others, especially the ones you should be able to trust.

True, I've certainly learnt to live more fruagally in recent years, I just wish I had learnt this lesson earlier and I wouldn't be in the debt that I am in now.

I think we all have these regrets and we all learn by them.;)
    It's scary isn't it?

There are not any policies attached to these loans (all secured ones) that cover for longer than 5 years as I am aware. I actually read that in a report last night when I was googling.

Sounds like you definately have a case then, even more than mine being over 25 years. :T

Have you decided what you are doing with the redress mammamia? Your loans does not reduce does it if you don't pay it over to them?

    Thank you Mammamia.
They just added the ppi anyway and then we used to think that was all part of the loan, with not being told any different.
My hubby could never had made a claim on his medical issues either, with the main one of them being a common back complaint, since his accident in prior years.

Sorry I've been away so long, had computer problems. My case did go to Deloitte, but the cheque arrived from the FSCS.

Glad you're back mammamia, that's answered one of our questions. Your case did go to deloitte then. Sandzb was told by a girl in deloitte no payments had been made- hence the confusion.

    Hope you are well
