That is strange? Are you sure? Why are they checking things with other lenders do you think??

Blimey just remembered the email I received on the 5th of this month from the FSCS, as I had asked them then about Twopart for an update, unfortunately they confirmed there was a technical error for the searching side of it, but had no letters to confirm this from the FSCS though, it was deloittes that had been in touch.

Yet I remember asking deloittes about this, will have to find the email, although I cannot recall on receiving feedback about this from them either.....honestly my head is in the clouds.

Here is the email dated 5 Sept from fscs.

here is no reason to register with our website to obtain an update of the list of Default companies. The registration page on our website, are for members of the press who wish to be included on the mailing lists we operate, rather than consumers.

Until they are declared "in default" they will not appear in the list and due to a technical error will return an error message, which we are working on at the moment. It may take some time before we are able to declare the firm in default, the average timescale for such an investigation is up to 6 months, from the receipt of an application form.

The search for default firms is at the following address: http://www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/Default_information/

However, there are monthly press releases that are published on the website, and in the press which notify consumers of declarations.

I don't think I will received a response from Deloittes today now, as I am about to ask them if they are aware if Twopart are actually in default or not, surely they should know one way or another shouldn't they?

Any ideas on opening times folks?
I take it office hours - up until 5pm maybe?

By the way, I could not wait until next week to call deloittes and tried them. Unfortunatley I have got nothing but answer machines but have left a message so will keep you informed if I hear anything.

  • Forgot to say. I received quite an odd letter from Picture today. It was a letter reminding me that I needed to make a repayment this month. They have never sent anything like this before and as they took my debit card details last month and informed me they would automatically deduct my repayment, I could not understand why they had to send the letter. Maybe its me looking into things too much but I did wonder whether they have news that people are receiving cheques from fscs and this was there way of taking advantage of the situation.
    Anyone had anything similar??

Hi Beaniebabe I havent myself but I would not worry it might just be standard. I am sure they are aware that PPI refunds are imminent, hopefully, theres my pessimism again, I wouldnt be suprised though if they started writing to people in arrears about payment. They havent wrote to us in months and I have arrears, so I am expecting a letter soon. Have you rung the FSCS or deloitte about your claim?
