I know, which is why i was talking about Sky

thats exactly what we did and it worked!

So why do you enjoy going around and confusing people.

    Freeview is not on satellite.

Satellite offers FTA and FTV channels and many not the same as Freeview which is on DTT.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)

You could ask for a sky box on freecycle, I got one for my bedroom and no you don't need a viewing card. You can add Channel 5 in manually in Add Channels.

I don't intentionally try to confuse people??? I say freeview channels so people get a ROUGH idea as to what sort of channels they can expect to get i.e E4 etc..., not that you actually get FREEVIEW through a Sky dish. I'll remember to word it properly next time shall i!!!!!

Jesus f**king christ, some people really have far too much time on their hands to be picking over such small, unintentional mistakes.

I think that you missed will-in-estoril's point, you cannot get all " Freeview " channels on Sky, they are different.;)

You can get free to view channels on Sky.

Yes i did miss it, because people funnily enough have different ways of thinking of it, just so happens i didn't explain myself properly, which people decide to jump on me for... christ, shoot me.

    No need for that attitude, as others have said, all you are doing is confusing people on here, it is all quite simple really;

    Freeview via an Aerial

    Freesat via a Satellite Dish

    FreesatfromSky via a Satellite Dish.

Nothing too complicated about that.....surely .. ??

The viewing card is the subscription bit. If want whatever you can get for free, just plug a box in.

You might be better served looking at Freesat just cos there's a wider choice of channels.

Just buy a Freesat receiver. That will give you the free to view sat channels with a 7 day epg.

Or even cheaper, just buy a receiver capable of getting the free channels. Maplins sell them from around £30 upwards. It doesn't have to be a Sky box.
