Watch this space i suppose all be it with great amount of anticipation!! haha
You still have to pay Sky at least £10 a month to use the recording facilities on Sky+.
I would ignore anything any so called Sky " Engineer " tells you, they are the bottom of the pile in Sky.0 -
But you don't pay for Sky+ any more? Or are there some hidden charges? It's my understanding that to use the recording facilities on Sky+ you just need a channel subscription with them...This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0

Correct, but that still comes at a cost, so not " free ".
You cannot for instance use the Sky+ facilities without a subscription.0 -

Would be great news but cannot see it happening just yet. It costs them more money to broadcast in HD with the satellite running costs and any equipment required at their end.
Plus 3DTV is coming next year from Sky. One channel to launch.0 -
to be fair the op is sort of correct, sky will indeed be scrapping the £9.75 charge this xmas, but not for nothing, as it will be replaced with the old £10 charge, when the vat increases come back into effect, DaveTake every day as it comes!!0
