Utility Warehouse taking over my EON electricity supply - who the hell are they ?!?!

Hello folks,
I am most angry to find that an organisation called 'Utility Warehouse' has taken over my EON electricity supply without any authorisation, I have never spoken to them, have no idea who they are and have no interest in switching electricity supplies.
What I find quite shocking is not only have they taken over the supply, they are now objecting to EON claiming it back.
I have had no communication from this company and don't really know what to do next ? Short of giving them a piece of my mind, but like all good organisations they have a customer 'services' that is open 9 -5 otherwise i'd have done it already ! Any advice appreciated .
Are you renting?
There have been instances quoted of the letting agents signing up their clients to get commission.0 -
Hi Cardew
I have every sympathy with you. Please see my post earlier this week headed npower problem - please help. I had the same thing last year, please see the problems I've had since and still have!! Good luck!0 -
Before going on about being mis/not sold, you need to contact UW and find out why they have signed you up, it is quite common that suppliers register the wrong supply numbers resulting in them taking over the wrong accounts. Another common one can by a letting agents/landlord making a mistake thinking a tenant has moved out and registering the supply back to the preferred supplier.0

Not quite as it sounds.
It was a Which members survey. Bear in mind that UW have some 25,000 representatives selling their products who have a vested interest in promoting UW.The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Hi wadaw, :hello:
When an energy supply changes provider from one company to another without the consent of the customer, it is known as an erroneous transfer.
These can come about from a number of situations, as already mentioned, either accidentally or fraudulently.
When a sale is carried out it is often quoted on the supply number, in some circumstances the supply number is incorrect and the wrong supply taken as a result.
When a company starts a transfer of a supply you should be notified by letter, every company is legally obliged to allow you a 14 day ‘cooling off’ period for you to change your mind (if a normal transfer) this 14 days will still apply in your scenario (erroneous transfers).
If this situation has gone on longer than 14 days, E.ON will be able to get the supply back but this will have to be via the usual sales channels so effectively you will be charged now for energy used until the transfer back to E.ON by UW.
If you’re within the 14 days E.ON can raise an ET (erroneous transfer) dispute and have the supply return to E.ON without any effects to your billing.
Utility Warehouse has no grounds to object to your transferring back to E.ON unless they have supplied for a length of time where a debt has built up.
Any questions wadaw give me a shout.

God, you UW reps will jump on anything won't you? This is a reasonable appeal for help and advice, but you just want to sell your tawdry product. That's why the UW model is so reprehensible, because it relies on emotional blackmail. And Carmine is the worst offender - using diversionary tactics to cloak his/her approach.
To the OP - you are right to be very wary of the Utility Warehouse - if you can stomach it, try the other threads on the subject and get a feel for how they work -personal abuse, obfuscation and downright lies. Don't even think about getting drawn in...0 -

I'm assuming my question won't be answered again, like every time I've asked you a question you can't answer in reply to one of your idiotic posts (thankfully you're a massively infrequent poster), but here goes (try not to go missing for weeks again this time):
What exactly do you mean by this?Call me Carmine....

I don't 'go missing', I just don't want to get drawn into the sort of slanging matches that you, NigeWick and Keggs seem so keen on, so once I have made my point I tend to let it speak for itself.
What I mean specifically by the comment you highlight is that despite this being a thread about UW, your first response to any criticism of it is to ask irrelevant questions of the poster about where they get their energy, to criticise other companies, or to dredge up old posts with no relevance. And all of this is just to lead you into saying how wonderful UW are (despite you apparently not having used them until very recently).0 -

LOL. If you don't want to get drawn into slanging matches, I have to say making spurious 'suggestions/hints' about me is not exactly the best way to go about it  Your modus operndi is to make idiotic posts then disappear. No backbone, you see.
And you clearly can't read - my first post on here was partly to correct what antispam had posted (by relating my experience so far as a customer) and, most importantly, the other part contained this advice to the OP:To the OP - there are official Eon reps on the board who work office hours - I'm sure they would be only too willing to try and sort this for you by PM tomorrow - you would just need to give them your Eon account details. Hope it gets sorted.
Which is 100% more helpful to the OP than you have been so far on here. What's your advice to him/her, Einstein? Shall we look for a reply in a couple of months?Call me Carmine....
