Utility Warehouse taking over my EON electricity supply - who the hell are they ?!?!
Hello folks,
I am most angry to find that an organisation called 'Utility Warehouse' has taken over my EON electricity supply without any authorisation, I have never spoken to them, have no idea who they are and have no interest in switching electricity supplies.
What I find quite shocking is not only have they taken over the supply, they are now objecting to EON claiming it back.
I have had no communication from this company and don't really know what to do next ? Short of giving them a piece of my mind, but like all good organisations they have a customer 'services' that is open 9 -5 otherwise i'd have done it already ! Any advice appreciated .

They dont have any morals they have some representatives who resort to spamming and conning there mates to sign up under the pretence they will save money often they dont
I would contact the utility watchdog I think consumer direct now deal with utilities0 -
I wish I had a mate who 'conned' me into joining UW sooner - my first bill from them (last month) was for MINUS £12 (granted it was only for 21 days phone line/broadband and calls but still, lol.) It gets paid back into my bank account by 28/8/09. All to do with the cash back card, of course.
To the OP - there are official Eon reps on the board who work office hours - I'm sure they would be only too willing to try and sort this for you by PM tomorrow - you would just need to give them your Eon account details. Hope it gets sorted.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Before this thread gets any longer, take a quick look at the official UW thread. Might save 5 more days of arguing....:beer:0

Your so lucky to have a friend like that, who needs enemies
Those who have actually saved money from UW are few are far between I suspect. Few people have actually even heard of UW and lets hope it keeps that way judging by how they do business1carminestocky wrote: »I wish I had a mate who 'conned' me into joining UW sooner - my first bill from them (last month) was for MINUS £12 (granted it was only for 21 days phone line/broadband and calls but still, lol.) How do you know?I'll use the cheapest supplier for my needs. At the moment, because of the cash back card, UW are easily the cheapest for me and my family (because, like millions of other people we shop at Sainsburys). Some absolute nonsense talked on here by people who seem to know very little about this company. Not for everybody, of course, but what company is?
Ps You've read my post wrong, I know nobody who's a distributor. I did my sums and applied direct to the company.Call me Carmine....

my god, 254 pages, I simply can't be bothered to read that - quite frankly I expect those that have saved the few pence changing suppliers have burned up more electricity than that posting on MSE.
I have no interest whatsoever if 'Utility Warehouse' are £xx cheaper, I simply wish to understand who these shiesters are and what makes them think they have the right to waste my time chasing round after them for something they should not have done ?0 -

The cheapest way for you to contact them will be via e-mail using your account details. You must have these, otherwise you would not know they had signed you up. They will send an automated acknowledgement, then you should get a reply within a day or so. Make sure you save copies of all correspondence in case of a later dispute. I hope you get sorted soon.
I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

I believe that although they are not always the cheapest energy supplier, UW came out top with 'Which' for customer service, way ahead of EDF and EON. I had never heard of them until then.
(I am with EDF by the way!).Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Not quite as it sounds.
It was a Which members survey. Bear in mind that UW have some 25,000 representatives selling their products who have a vested interest in promoting UW.
They were also voted top for value, despite having unquestionably some of the most expensive gas and electricity prices in UK.
Rather in the manner that Cyprus always votes for Greece in the Eurovision song contest, not surprising that UW perform well in any survey where vested interests can vote.!!!!0
