Does anyone still fall for it when Tescos inflate the price of an item and then reduce it again to make it appear like a bargain. I love the way they have not spotted the mistake in their pricing with these cookies...

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Its 44p for a single pack or for two packs it "was" £1.48 but has been "Reduced" to £1 for two packs.
Now that is what you call a bargain...not0 -

Not quite the same subject, but our local Sainsbury's (and that probably means all of them) seem to be having a major pricing crisis with their "bigger pack, better value" deals.
Hardly ANY of the ones I look at are actually better value. Some are exactly the same value, and many are actually worse. D'oh!0 -
Yeah, Tesco do this a lot and I find it annoying. There is a lot of price manipulation these days - Play.com and WHSmith often have dvd's in their sales that were the same price the week before. All the supermarkets put prices up for a week and then discount them, so they look like bargains.0

OP they do this all the time. There is a particular wine that I like from Tesco and a few weeks ago it was reduced from £9.99 to £5.99. Yesterday I was browsing the wine aisle and noticed that the offer has finished and it is now back to its regular price of £5.99!0

I always treat Teascos deals with caution, I do a lot of shopping in there and know most of the prices of their stuff. Argos have a habit of doing this as well, they often even include the price previous (Lower) price in the small print!0

I bought a top at Burtons menswear 3 days before xmas for £20, on boxing day sales i went in and the sign over the rack said " Boxing day sale Reduced - was £45 now £20 - save a massive £25!" I complained to the manager and he put on a false laugh and said nothing and walked away.
Good spotting on the biscuits there.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -

I buy the Tesco coffee, and always buy the 100g jar at 70p as it is £1.43 for 200g and £2.19 for 300gDon't Panic - and carry a towel
