Completly Rubbish!
The speed and actual internet service varies drastically! The DNS is hopeless.
The customer service is rubbish. Their customer loyalty thanks are a disgrace!
They're currently offering 16 megs for £25 for the internet and £10 for the line rental (this EXCLUDES their introduction office) for new customers.
For old customers, its £30 for 8 megs and £10 for line rental. That's £5 more for half the speed. And whats more, if we (old customers!) did want to "upgrade" to 16megs, they'd be an extra £5 a month, making it £45 in total, a whole £10 more than new customers.
** end rant
I don't have talk talk so I dont know if its better
but my bulldog experiance has been nightmare after nightmare of incorrect bills.~Diminutive0 -
I don't have first hand experience, but anybody who makes it onto the Watchdog reports can't be a safe bet!0

Just like to add that if you view the bulldog forum on http://adslguide.org.uk theres alot of disgruntled users.
Though in reguards to my thing, i've calmed down
read in another post here, that for £15 I could change the £30/mnth to £20/mnth which I've done. Then if necessary could add on the extra speed for £5. Bringing me at the same level as new users. Cost me £15 though -_-; Thats if it goes through and works alright. ~Diminutive0 -
RUBBISH! is the answer. My sister changed to these as they were offering a good deal. Apparently they take the telephone line off BT completely. Thats where her problems began. She didnt receive any bill and out of the blue got one for £347. She didnt owe anthing like that at all and to cap it they cut her phone line off without any warning. So lots of back and forth calls to their CS with lots of hold ups and different ammounts owing and a bill that was going UP even though they had cut off her phone. Eventually she told them to forget their service send a proper bill and signed up with another provider. She still has not had any bill or any explanation for what happened.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

we joined up with bulldog in january on a No minimum term contract, with unlimited downloads and phonecalls for £35 a month.
We paid the £35 for 2 months then kept getting bills for £49 with them saying we'd gone over our download limits.
We contacted bulldog and they said that they had no records of the offer and it must have been an opening offer, and they offered to bill us the extra £14 for the first 2 months, obviously we declined.
We thought enough was enough and have tried and failed to get a MAC code from bulldog for 3 months now. they kept promising one but never sent one.
i have complained to ofcom etc but they're not interested.
Bulldog then started ignoring all our emails.
In desperation I phoned the legal team at BT, who are trying to take back our phone line on sept 11th, as you can't have bulldog broadband without a bulldog phoneline.
I recently phoned bulldog yet again to be told I don't need a Mac code as its a LLU line, I just need a 6 digit leaving code. They refused to give me the Alternate Dispute resolution service number, and won't give me the leaving code either. I have a marker on my line too so can't just switch, BT are trying to sort it out for me.
BT also warned that bulldog will try and bill me for the remaining months on my non existant 12 month contract.
Can I just cancel my direct debit on the 11th when the phone line switches over? I have emailed bulldog saying due to them not following their own rules i am terminating my broadband with immediate effect, as advised by trading standards but they haven't replied!!
Anyone got any advice to get me away from bulldogs evil clutches, we're desperate!!!
Please??

Don't go with bulldog!!! They start ignoring your emails in the end, the customer service representatives blatently lie on the phone, and they've put a marker on my line!!!0

I wouldnt cancel the direct debit, that in turn will cause more problems for you in the long run!0

You can cancel any direct debit, at any time you like. It’s polite to tell the company that initiated the direct debit that you’ve cancelled it. If you agree that there’s some money that you still owe them, you can pay it by other means. However, I wouldn’t recommend paying Bulldog using a bank card. There’s a risk they’ll take whatever money they like. If they were to do that and claim you gave them “continuous payment authority”, there’s nothing short of going to court that can force them to return any money.
While cancelling the direct debit stops them getting any more money, as BT have suggested, that doesn’t mean Bulldog will treat the matter as settled. The general advice is to make records of all contact with Bulldog. For telephone calls, that’s who, when, what was said, etc. It’s often best to do things by post, sent recorded delivery. Their address is on the page detailing their Code of Practice on Complaints Handling. Often complaints are more quickly resolved by putting the name of the Chief Executive at the top of the address. The name of Bulldog’s Chief Executive can be found on their Management Team page.

thanks for your great advice. I went onto My Bulldog Hell.com and sent my details to their bulldog contact, complained several times to Ofcom and last night had an email from Bulldog apologising for the frustration and inconvenience caused to me! They acknowledged that BT were taking our phone line back on 11th sept and aren't trying to stop us!!! What a super speedy result!!!0

I've found Bulldog a lot more reliable since pipex took them over...
Also for anyone who's been with them for a while, check that the new standard rates aren't cheaper than the one you are on, I just got them to cut a tenner a month from my bill.0
