if paypal hadn't of refunded me - my next course of action would be to file for a claim against RM for the entire value of the item. due to lack of sig.0

i have bought many items from the same seller and today was the FIRST time i have had to sign. all other (6+) items have been sent recorded but just put through my postbox0

i suppose its doing people a favour if their out not having to sign or go to the depo if it will fit through letterbox, but as soon as an ebay fraudster appears it doesn't help the sellers.0

im just glad that i know all 3 posties that we get, all are nice (the one today was even chatting to my 2 yr old), the only time i got mad was when one of them left one of my parcels in my food bin :rolleyes:0 -

Refer him to RM regulations. The problem is that whilst some post office staff will bend the rules like this people will begin to expect it from all post people and that is not acceptable.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Over £200 paypal do require a signature or they will take money out of your account and put the onus on you to provide the sig.
As RM can't provide the sig, i'd file a claim with Royal Mail for £200 explaining your situation and the reason you used a signature RM service was that paypal require it for their' seller protection. As they can't fulfil this they must refund your £200.0 -

Strictly speaking they should not charge you if they cannot produce a copy of the signature online. Depends who you speak to but push it and they will send it free of charge.0
