I can't be bothered to find the other thread, and Pastures doesn't seem to be around tonight for her normal sterling commentary.

Why is everyone they feature on this show:

    a) loaded
    b) posh
    c) pretty much completely unlikable
    d) always a couple with a horsey woman who hates every house and treats their fella like a woodlouse.

This weeks show is a posh army man and posh army wife with posh kids all called names like Beatrice, Charles, Tarquin and Clitoris and the other is a relatively young couple who have outgrown their 1-bed flat and want the next step up the ladder... to a house costing £500,000 (although we all know they'll find one for £640,000 that they love and will still get).

I quite like the idea of this show, but it'd be a lot more interesting if they had some different 'types' of people every now and again.

Its escapism, they don't want ordinary people with ordinary lives.

Forgive my ignorance, which show are we discussing here?

    No, that's the whole board.

 Most of us do. However, after, months, er, no, years :o of discussion of, um,prettymuch thesame thing, with largely the same smallish group of [STRIKE]nutters[/STRIKE] forum contributers, it is inevitable we become [STRIKE]over familiar[/STRIKE]collegiate and its sad this this is interpreted some times as ''closed'' because new blood is, to most of us, very, very welcome. :) More than that, I'd say it is a fundamental necessity:)

I think any longstanding group has elements of cliquey-ness: however hard you try t avoid it: we've shared some pretty stressful life experiences (business troubles, people making decision to str, or stop renting to buy, struggles to find employment) the big life things. It would be a terrible state of affairs if some bonds were not made over these massive life changing discussions. In addition there is some pretty tesious in-fighting BUT, those bonds and fueds do not mean we as a group don't welcome new people, IMO. I remember being new here :o.
