..............To drop out of a wedding only 3 days beforehand with no reasonable excuse???
Guests AND my ****ing hairdresser in the last 24 hours.
We've gone from 90 day and 140 evening guests to 62 day and 84 evening!!!
I really wonder why we bother!!!
:rant off:
Sorry girls, i've just really had enough of it all.

Oooh well, my hairdresser came to my wedding and asked to bring a guest. I said yes, although was a bit miffed at paying £60 a head for my hairdresser and a guest but there were reason's I had to invite her... she told me before the meal that she was going to Blackpool on a night out and would be off. She'd obviously had it planned, but if she'd let me know only the day before, I wouldn't have paid £120 for food that wouldn't get eaten. I was fuming!0

Funnily enough MY hairdresser had asked to bring a guest too which I wasn't overly happy about but agreed to because I needed her there. We're 2 places empty and £130 down now plus whatever extra it will cost for me to find someone free at this short notice to do my hair  I've found someone but i'll have no idea of cost till she comes to see me for my trial on Friday, but what can I do? I need a hairdresser!

We racked our brains for a suitable date to get married, we considered people at work, school hols the works so thought the 2nd october was great. Got the date booked to find out my cousin and his family were going away for the weekend as a suprise for his wife - now minus 7. My OH's closest mates had booked a sun holiday for that weekend and now we are minus a further 10. We said we wanted a small intimate wedding but hadnt thought it would so small.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Nothing beats one of my bridesmaids' excuse for not helping out on the day before our wedding: "Sorry no i cannot come to your rehearsal dinner (that my mom is paying for, not even bothered by a free meal) nor help you decorate your venue on the day befor eyour wedidng (a saturday) because I gotta spend that day with my girlfriend as she is already !!!!!! that I am not spending the entire weekend with her".
Another one was like "oh sorry i cannot come and help you out before at least 6pm cos I ahve a party to go to". But she has helped out on other bits so not bothered as much.
One of my guests might drop out but she has a reaosnable excuse as doctors have just found a tumour on her dad's brain. At least she has given me enough notice."Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye
It's only teenage wasteland"

If this happens to me I am very tempted to say, " thats fine, do you want me to send you a bill or can you give me cash now?"
Only excuses I would be happy to accept are illness & death! Harsh but we have checked with people already that they are able to attend and thats more than a year in advance.0 -

Have you asked people to RSVP a year in advance? Or have you just sent out Save the Dates a year in advance?0 -
I'm just amazed you guys have so many guests to start with.
I'm getting married next Feb (my 2nd his 1st) and we decided on a small wedding with around 35 people. Once we actually sat down and made a list we were struggling to get to 22. Thats mostly immediate family and very close friends and includes us
Sad or what?
If anybody pulls out we'll be cheaper having the wedding in our front room

our best man let us down the week of the wedding, his excuse was he couldnt get the time off work ! he had a whole 18 months to sort out the time off then we found out that he went away to ply golf instead !
3 days before our wedding 11 people couldnt make it but had already sent a rsvp accepting and then on the night of the wedding some freinds came saying that 4 friends couldnt come as they went out the night before and have hangovers !
it is really annoying but i didnt let it get to me as it was our day ! and they had already bought gifts and gave them to us he he0
