Quickie lunch time post on phone - all good so far :) They are very organised, I've got an induction plan that lasts a month! And I will get paid on Friday for this week! :T

Blimey, that's the longest I've left my diary for a while! It's been a really busy week.. plus I've had to suss out whether it's OK to go online at work - the answer is, not as much as I used to, although I think free time is going to be a bit unusual anyway. But it's payday, so I had to post obviously, got £270 which is an estimated amount for what I've worked, won't really know the proper figures until next month. Still it is more than I was expecting to have this month, so can't complain!

I've really enjoyed the first week, am hugely impressed with the induction plan they had organised, and everyone has been really nice so far. I've started doing more actual work as the week's gone on, which has been a little bit scary at first - I'm not used to having much in the way of responsibility! Anyway, I think I can safely say it seems to have been a good move so far, I actually feel like I have my first proper job :)

In other news.. things at home have been a bit difficult this week, obviously I'm full of lots of news and excitement about the new job, and Mr S is still really bored and fed up in the old one. I had a bit of a wobbly crying moment the other night because I felt so guilty about having found something fulfilling when he hasn't. He's saying all the right things to me about it but I know he's quite depressed and it's horrible to see. He can't seem to make a decision about anything or think of anything he wants to do if I ask. I think he is pleased for me but it seems really overshadowed by being down himself and I think quite jealous :( At least it's the weekend now and if the last few weeks are anything to go by he will be almost a different person for a few days.

Still, we are OK, I think. The garden has turned out to be a good source of relaxation and doing something nice together, and everything is shooting up - we can just about have a daily salad now :)

Oh and it's a shame I've not been able to do outfit posts this week as I have been one smart little squirrel!

Anyway, got a few bits to do, here till 5pm which is a shock to the system (working 9 to 5.... lalala.. instead of flexi time...), then I think it will be takeaway tonight and off to the farmers market tomorrow. Will have to try to catch up on here at some point too.. hope everyone's OK! xx

Lovely to hear that the job is going well..im sure in the coming months once things settle down you get to grips with the job that you will be able to pop onto your diary a bit more :)
Sorry Mr S is having a difficult time and that it then reflects onto you...its not easy to live with believe me!

Anyway have a lovely weekend in the garden and at the market :)

Thanks for letting us know, Squizz - I was assuming busyness/internet restrictions would keep you away - such a shame! Shame that Mr Squizz is in that situation right now as well, and I'm really sorry you ended up with a wobble because of it. At least you've got the weekend. You'll have to come on here a *little* bit in the evening every now and then :D

Oh I'm sure I'll be back on more once things settle down, I've missed catching up with everyone on a daily basis..it's ok to use internet at lunch so I will have some time. Mr S has had predicted weekend mood change so bit happier today. Pouring with rain though so glad the market is indoors!

And hmmph a snail has eaten one of our courgette flowers, grr!

Farmers market was amazing - came home with a big bag full of meat and a bag of veg, some tasty meals to come in the next few days. Also had our first proper cooked meal from the garden, just pasta with spinach but it's the first thing that hasn't been salad! Sat down yesterday with the box of seeds and my little garden plan and worked out what to plant when the current things are finished so we don't have too much of a 'hungry gap'.

Mr S was in a really good mood at the weekend, he's back to work tomorrow but one of his colleagues is off so I'm hoping that should keep him busier. I'm back in today and really starting to get stuck into the work now - the easier bits anyway.

Anyway, just had lovely lunch of homemade bread with cream cheese, apricots and grapes (my eating habits have changed since I started this job, not as much time to stop and snack, which may be good for me!).. and I've just updated my sig as I got 13p from Quidco :rotfl:

Oh and direct debits have all come out (except Lovefilm and phone) leaving me with £480 in the bank. I will get £200 from second job on 23rd and then get paid my first full month from new job on 30th, so next month should be quite nice! (and I can start figuring out new debt payments etc). I've also got a new holiday allocation so can take a couple of short breaks before the end of September - hopefully ones where the plane actually takes off!
