Oh wow ... this move was so scary for you, Squirrel, but it sounds like its paying off already! And I love the first cooked ingredients from the garden :)

I know Karma - it was a risk, but so far so good.. better than expected, even!

Sal, expensive? Nooo.. probably cheaper than staying in the UK! I can send you some websites that we've used the last few times to get really good bargains.. or if you've got a specific city/ area in mind PM me and I'll see if I've got any more detailed info on anywhere.

Right, hometime, Mr S should have the dinner ready :D

Actually, luckily it is only a small Boots, so the appeal is fairly limited. I've decided I can treat myself to the lunch deal once a week (Sushi.. drool :p)

Well nice surprise this morning, got paid from job number 3 for May + June at the same time so an extra £100 in my account! Really need to do some debt sorting out soon, I think my smallest one is about £275 which it would be nice to get rid of ASAP.

Work is a bit quieter today after a really manic afternoon yesterday.

Booked the bargain spa day for when my friend comes to visit in a few weeks - can't wait for that!

In other news, Mr S was a bit more grumpy yesterday after work, but he's being allowed to 'work from home' for a couple of days whilst his team moves offices so a bit happier with that.. actually he seems better in general since my crying outburst the other day :o

Exciting things are happening in the garden - we have four baby courgettes and the beans are starting to flower. Still having to fight off lots of slugs though!

Baby food for eating! Yay! The money sounds fantastic, and it also sounds like you could get rid of that smaller debt altogether, brill.

I really wanted to try courgette flowers to eat too but the slugs keep getting them.. as long as they stay off the fruit!

I've got homegrown salad for lunch today and homegrown komatsuna in stir fry tonight.. oh I've also had to make some homemade moth repellent sachets! Keep finding them in the clothes 'corner' in the spare room.. found out that rosemary and thyme are good for keeping them off, so have made some sachets with them plus some peppercorns, not sure if they're working yet though.
