Okay, "frugal" is for another day - look at those T&Cs for the new job!!! :j:j:j Fantastic!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Morning Karma! Am in bed, Mr S is working today and I'm having a lazy start to the day, although was woken by neighbours' alarm clock so not a proper lie in.
I am cautiously optimistic that the new place will be better! They also have things like a fixed training entitlement of so many days per year, which sounds good compared to the severe lack of training opportunities I've had. Anyway, it would struggle to be worse, had a bit of an upsetting time yesterday with colleagues discussing me as if I'd already gone - yes I know there were bits of the job I could have done better but it would have been an idea to talk to me about them at the time, not !!!!! in front of me now I'm leaving! Was not in the best of moods last night and it's still bugging meDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Oof, thats downright nasty. Frankly, it sounds like jealousy. And who gets things right all the time anyway? Thats what training and feedback is for. Give your pillow a good talking to, seriously - saying it out loud actually does help.
I'm just off to post on the "house moving" thread then shutting down the lappie (I do like the sound of lazing in bed with the thing tho) - just found out 5 mins ago I have my first second viewing in an hour's time :eek::eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
thats horrible squizz...just confirms that you are doing the right thing by leaving. If they can't discuss things like that with you then sod them. Onwards and upwards
Enjoy your day of pottering..need to get out and plant some seeds today!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
Finally Debt Free...0 -
Yeah it does make me feel it's the right decision. I think part of it is jealousy and being annoyed about the upheaval, but hearing about what I've done 'wrong' in that way, even if I was aware of it myself, was pretty horrible and has done nothing for my tendency to beat myself up for not being perfect.
Oh well, I just have to manage 19 more working days there! Today is definitely pottering - off to pick a parcel up, check on my flat then back here to potter in the garden. What you planting today Sal?
Good luck with the viewing Karma!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Ugh, seriously tired today - rubbish sleeping and horrible hormones - I fell asleep for two hours on the sofa yesterday, just couldn't keep my eyes open. Weekend was OK, nice weather mostly (chucked it down yesterday afternoon though and we had to go on a slug removal rampage). Didn't do half marathon yesterday as my leg isn't right, was OK about that on the day and watched the race go past.. but feel really fed up today with everyone asking about it. I also feel fat and unhealthy and generally blaaaaaaah.
Got everything sent back for my new job.. just want to get on with it now, especially after Friday I feel very on edge being here. Also finished my training for the second job here (which I'm able to continue with) and got paperwork sorted for that too. Mr S is still really fed up about work so today I've got to send him all the websites I found when I was job hunting.
No other news I can think of so far...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Sorry your leg is bad, Squirrel - thats bound to make you feel rubbish. But if you're otherwise fit enough to do a half marathon (and you are, cos you did that other one really recently) there's NO WAY you're fat and unhealthy :grouphug:
Keep going - not much longer at this place now. :beer:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Aah.. I know I'm not unhealthy really - everything is just feeling a bit tight at the moment and I know I've been eating too many puddings etc. Just need to cut back a little bit. Mind you the blobby hormonal feeling doesn't help!
New clothes that I ordered last week have just arrivedDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I am *so* familiar with that feeling (the tightness). And hurray to the new clothes arriving!
I'm feeling fairly blobby myself at the mo - off for a walk around the block.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Fun (?) night last night slug-fighting - and we thought we were going to be bored cos there was nothing on TV! All the bean seedlings are shooting up so I decided to try one of each variety outside, after constructing some interesting slug-proof spiky plastic things out of old milk bottles.
Discovered that new job pays on the last day of the month so need to change all my DDs and standing orders (currently get paid on 23rd) - little bit of a pain! Also means I may have a long month in June between paydays, so trying to keep a bit aside for that.
Also got my first person to mentor in my second job, which is exciting and a little bit scary!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
