Thanks guys - just want it over and done with but no opportunity to speak privately until later.
On another note... blooming cat went missing for hours last night, she only normally goes out for ten mins or so - god knows where she went but she sauntered back in after we'd looked everywhere for her. Was like having a teenager - we started panicking, then when she re-appeared she got lots of cuddles and a telling-off! :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

All done now, quite emotional
Further good stuff on the budget though - my mobile contract is up for renewal in May so should be able to keep my phone and drop the monthly payment.
I reckon I can comfortably up the debt repayments to about £300 - if I can keep that up I'd be debt free in about 3 years!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
So glad that it went ok telling boss you are leaving
Even better about the debt repayments...I could be debt free in 3 months if I am really good. Well still have Mum and Students loans..who am I kiddingI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
Finally Debt Free...0 -
Oh yeah I'm not counting student loans - one is deferred (possibly forever as the amount you need to earn is huge) and the other under the different scheme I'm paying something like £15 a month through my salary.
Strange day today - last day in my current office as we're moving into the new one on Monday.
Just checked in online for next week's holidayMuch needed I think... Mr S is still fed up, must admit I'm struggling with it, I'm trying my best to cheer him up but I can't fix his job situation too. Feel like I can't get too excited about mine when he's like this... I am going to miss things about us working in the same place like being able to just pop out for a walk at lunchtime but it is also a bit weird sometimes and I think it might be 'healthier' for us to be in different places.
Trying to think of nice things to do over the weekend.. got quite a bit of gardening stuff to do but otherwise not sure what...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I've been computerless! We got disconnected at work unexpectedly early on Friday and were moving into our new office yesterday so not had a chance to get on. Am set up at my desk now but still surrounded by boxes!
Weekend was nice - we did loads of gardening on Saturday - planted onion sets, carrots, re-potted lots of things - we've not got four courgette plants rapidly shooting up. The work and sunshine seemed to cheer Mr Squizz up a bit... Sunday was a fairly quiet day, I had a long run and then we just lazed about really.
Monday back to work and chaos for me, and boredom and grumpiness for Mr S - I am still finding it quite difficult when he's quiet and fed up around me and I can't do anything about it. Yesterday we were chatting about baby-related goings on in my office (one girl has just come back from maternity leave and another has just announced she's pregnant) and he said he wished he could go on maternity leave :rotfl: I think this is because he'd like lots of paid time off and not a strange desire to give birth - as I quoted 'Life of Brian' to him - "where's the fetus going to gestate, in a box?!" :rotfl:
Money stuff - I paid for everything on Saturday, food and compost mostly, spent about £30. Go on hols on Thursday and I have £200 put aside but we only have £50-ish to pay for one hotel night so the rest is for whatever! That leaves me with £167 in the bank, all my bills paid, although I haven't been paid the £50 from other job yet, not sure what's happened there. Get paid in ten days time.
I'm sure I have more news but can't think at the moment.. must go and unpack a box....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Do wonder if Mr S is broody.. he got all soppy over some baby tigers on TV last night :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
