No, just a sarky comment "informing" me that my JSA is being paid by those who are working and when I was working I paid the JSA of those out of work - apparently

ONW is accurate, however she was making a valid statement as to how the system works, not having a go at you. You need to stop taking things personally.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Life is hard enough when you have been made redundant without people taking the P

There wasnt really any cause to comment was there, there was only one reason that was posted and that was to make someone feel pants

Where do you think JSA money comes from?

I never really thought about it before as I have always been in work up until a few months ago. The JSA letter I got stated that I was entitled to JSA contribution based as I had made the contributions and I wouldnt get anything after that time, I just figured everyone is entitled to 6 months worth as long as they have worked for the past two years and paid their NI and tax.

If someone has paid enough NIC then they are entitled to JSA, nobody has said any different.

Actually you are entitled to jsa even if you have never worked or paid owards it.

Its just called income-based jsa, instead of being called 'contribution based'.

Its for same amount i think

Actually you are not if you have substantial savings and/or other income.

You would know all about not contributing to society

Doubt many people who have double digit thousands of pounds lying around spare would even be going down to the jobcentre every 2weeks to collect an extra £50 though...

Oo-err. OP, if you want to give away your old clothes and ask for new on freecycle, that might be an idea? Or else give away something else you don't need on there and try asking. Not guaranteed of course but it's another option I guess : )
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
