Looking at the numbers in the first month it looks like you are clearing more per month on the overdraft than you are on the Barclayscard? If it were me I would stick with clearing that and then use the barclaycard payments (and any extra money) towards the overdraft. Really it's about doing what would work for you.

Have just redeemed £20 amazon voucher from dooyoo, so that makes £40 in amazon for daughters iPod nano for Christmas, still waiting for £5 lightspeed voucher, but won't add that yet, I have been waiting since 8th august. Near to payout for £5 amazon voucher again so hopefully I get them and they are not a con. Also just redeemed on global test Market, this should workout at about £30, it says this can take 8 weeks to come through. So not a bad evening, I am tired now, will go to bed soon as have another shift at hospital tomorrow, 7am start.

I am a little annoyed, husbands wages have not gone in due to bank holiday so they should be in tomorrow, yet council tax and tv licence have gone out yesterday (31st august) although they dated it 1st September, this means the account was overdrawn, I managed to put money in there temporarily so I am now not overdrawn. But if they charge me for going overdrawn, I have no proof as they dated it today. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Anyway I handed my time sheet in, so I will get paid next Friday, you have to have it in by Thursday of each week to get paid the following Friday. So I should get roughly £140-£150 for working the weekend just gone, which isn't bad, if I keep doing this then I can make a nice dent in the debts, I am to be completely debt free by the time I'm 35, if not sooner.

I am planning on working some long days on a weekend also, this way I can earn quite a bit more, and still have weekdays to be with the kids. The only problem is my feet, they really ache after a shift, I thought I would by a nice pair of Clark shoes that are comfy, they have some fancy design aspect to them that should mean they are comfy, but they are not, my feet feel like they have been trampled on by elephants when my shift finishes. I might write to clarkes and have a moan.

Im same, gonna phone bank in a minute see what accounts like.I have money going in tomorrow.Il be so annoyed if I go over for sake of a day.But nothing I can do.Had to pay argos off.I couldnt believe the were est 33 quid interest on first month of £100.So I figured it would be cheaper to go past my Od.
At least the grocery challenge will pull me back some.
Sorry about your feet.Dont really know what to suggest.Suppose you could always see if those gel pads will limit it.I think they help but dont stop the foot pain.
Dont pay a fiver for scholl ones.Primark do them for a quid.Speak soon.xx

I have just done all the banking via the internet, i have paid £100 to barclaycard, the minimum payment was £16.17, so it was nice to be able to pay more off. I am actually looking forward to receiving the next bill, as it will show a smaller outstanding balance, i will be able to pay off another nice chunk next friday once my first wage is paid, and then it will be weekly from then on, so this debt should go in no time, and then i will go for virgin, as this is a smaller debt and one i can get rid of sooner, then the accounts can be closed and cards cut up and binned. it is always tempting having so many credit cards floating around, so i just want rid of them.

If i stick to the september grocery challenge, then i should have about £100 left at the end of the month, i am going to really try to do this challenge, fingers crossed.

I am so determined to do the september grocery challenge, i am doing my weekly shop tomorrow which will last until next weekend, and i will keep it within budget of £20-£25, i will, i will, i will.

I now have £50 in amazon vouchers, so i am half way there for my daughters ipod nano for christmas, i just need to give it a big push with surveys and dooyoo i think.

I have withdrawn all remainder of the money from bank account and left all the money that is needed to cover all of the bills etc. That way i wont use my card to make purchases, i will use cash and know where i am. it is so easy to just hand your card over and not check the balance etc, thats how i end up spending to much.

Life has got in the way and i havenot posted since september, my son started preschool, and i have been dealing with that, he is hyperactive, so it has been fairly stressful. But we are getting the support that is needed for him which is always a good thing. The ball is now rolling with speech therapy, peadiatricians, outreach workers and physiotherapist, the latter because he is a 3 year old boy in a 5 year old body, he is very tall for his age and he needs to develop his leg muscle a little more.
Anyway, now that thats all getting sorted, i can relax a little and concentrate on the debts. I have not managed to acheive a great deal so far but i have acheived something nonetheless.
My initial post gave figures of £808.66 for barclaycard, £1,170.73 for virgin and £4,647.57 for lloyds. The latest figures for these are £550.29 for barclaycard, £438.56 for virgin and £4288.92 for lloyds.

So as of now, i want these debts gone, i still want barclaycard gone first, to acheive this i need to constantly ring work for more shifts, i need to ring them at least once a week, also in february and march i think it is, i will have the money available that usually pays council tax, so that will be £288 that i can shave of a debt. Also in february my OH should get an extra £100 ish in his wages (something to do with changing the company car, so this can go towards debt, if i dont need it now then i hopefully wont need it then, well thats it for now, so i am off to play puzzles with my son.
