I got the balance of virgin wrong, it is actually £682.40, so that's better than I thought, glad I have this diary to keep a better track of things. I didn't even know it was down to that. Can't wait to get the scissors out for this card and barclaycard. I hate having so many cards, there is always the temptation to use them, its easy to say oh let's just put it on card.0

I have my shadow shifts all booked for this weekend, late shift on Saturday and an early shift on Sunday, does anyone out there know exactly what this entails, I do get the gist of it, it's just they will ask for feedback from it off those in charge of ward, so I don't want to mess up.0

Are there any healthcare assistants that work in hospitals who want to offer advice or chat, I start my shadow shifts this weekend.0

I begin my shadow shift tomorrow, and then have another on sunday. Once i have done these i can begin working and start earning money to pay off our debts, i should be able to start next weekend, eventually i could start earning a decent amount over the weekend, this could sometimes include friday nights. I just want to clear the debt, it is too much burden, i dont want that to pass to the children. my daughter is already picking up on things we say about money.
On a seperate note, my husband has life insurance which we sorted when we had a mortgage, i myself never got any as it was either extremely high or i couldnt get proper cover, i have epilepsy and 1 kidney (i have kidney reflux which comes under the kidney disease heading on nhs direct), does anyone know if i can get covered properly and who would do this.0 -
Is there anybody out there........
Does anyone have advice on insurance that I mentioned in the above post, also dooyoo, I am so near my £20 voucher I just need a few more rates, how do people manage to rate so much, some have only been on there a few months and that have done at least a 1000 normally much more, is there a knack or am I just slow.0 -
I finally completed my two shadow shifts, i did saturday lates which was 2.30pm-9.30pm and sunday early which was 7am-3pm. I was a little scared and nervous about starting them but there was nothing to worry about and i got through it.
I think that i will be quite good at this given time. I survived. Now i just have to ring them to book my shifts, which then means that i can earn some money, which means that i can pay off debts.0 -
Well Done!!
Your first step to being debt free :beer:I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Really well done for getting through the shadow shifts. I'm afraid I can't answer any of your questions. I shall continue to pop in and be as useless as possible though to see how you're getting on.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160
