She was being dishonest when she told me Natwest only update credit files every 2 months. I know she was being dishonest because at the time of the call I had a copy of the report in front of me showing monthly updates since the account was opened.
2 months worth of info is sent on a report, for example, if the report is sent beginnng of Sept it will show payments missed / made etc for July & August. Hence your little green squares.
I htink you owe her an apology0 -

Your expecting a miracle if you want the file to show it was paid off only 4 days ago!
Are Natwest persecuting you or anyoen else who pays them back money they owe then?
I hope you recover from your self induced heart attack !0 -
She was just doing her job.
It may not be a particularly efficient system but that is the only one they have.
I don't understand why some things in banking take ages either but since I don't have any choice I accept it. Getting angry doesn't change anything. It probably isn't any good for your health either if you get so stressed about a sitaution you can't do anything about.
Laughing is probably just the way they deal with having to listen to abuse from customers. She probably put you on speakerphone.
Changing your bank will make you feel better.0 -

TBH i think its situations which i can't do anything about that wind me up the most, particularly as you seem to run into them all the time even when you make the simplest of enquiries.
The conversation in its simplest form:
ME: Why hasn't my credit file been updated?
NW: Call experien
ME: Done that, they said call you
NW: Well you need to call them
ME: I have, if i call again they'll just tell me to call you again
NW: Well you need to call them
its not abnormal to be wound up by someone like that, not even an attempt at helping until i asked her to get a manager, and then i was put on hold...
Thats sound like a conversation of someone who has run out of prompts and doesn't know what to do next. She should have took advice from someone else. If you had hung up and called back later you hopefully spoke to someone who had the sense of how to deal with the situation.0 -
why does it matter so much to you? there's got to be more at stake than an obsession over a report no one else is looking at but you..
1st July until now is nothing in banking terms.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0
