I am sorry for your problem but how you speak to people affects how they deal with your complaint. If you rant and rave at someone even if they deserve it they often will not bother to put in any effort into helping you.

I take your point, but to be fair, the conversation started in a very calm and friendly manner, all i want is a resolution. The conversation became heated when she started lieing to me and repeating herself.

Sadly some people are rubbish at their jobs. In those cases I ask to speak to a supervisior. As soon as you start getting angry with the person its best to ask to speak to a supervisior and start the coversation afresh. Also the supervisior will speak to the person afterwards as the first person you spoke to should been able to sort it without needing it to go up a level.

Why? What do you think we are going to do? Go down there and lynch her? I don't think they use their real names anyway.
  • I thin you should calm down before you cause yourself considerable damage!

You paid the amount off on the 1st July 2009. which was only 34 working days ago. No time at all in the world of banks / file sharing etc. Why is it such an issue?

Give yourself a heart attack if its 6mths before they update your credit file.

It is still in the post.

The reason it is not allowed on MSE (not my rule!) is because it opens the website up to potential legal action.

I would probably have passed you on to a manager or hung up on you with that kind of attitude , especially tagging a certian job people do and class them all as "monkeys" .

I'm pretty sure most call centres have notes on your file which will now have a tag of "abusive" next to it , so your even more unlikely to get help now :(
  • Human nature causes people to be obnoxious and rude when they are treated in the same manor!
How many times have you got stoppy / defensive/ ANGRY/ rude back when someone has spoken to you in a less than polite fashion. At least once!

Having worked in a call centre for many years when I was in my early 20's it is very difficult to bit your tounge if a customer is rude and treats you like dirt. The people who work in call centres are paid low wages and therefore the people who do the jobs dont tend to have the maturity to deal with rude people.

What did she actually lie to you about? It strikes me that your accusing her of being dishonest becasue she didnt tell you what you wanted to hear.

Before you say you weren't rude to her, I'm sure you were as your post is very aggressive and nobody hangs up from a phone call calmly and then gets mad at the internet!
