If myself going bankrupt stops the banks selling and I mean selling because it is a pitch! certainly in my case to people and gaining huge profits at the expence of the customer then at least something can become of my misery , you have a very narrow minded view, you dont happen to have had shares in the banks do you!
You are right. Selling, that`s what they do. I remember some years back when all I had people phoning me up trying to sell me loans. My bank manager had me in trying to sell me a loan. He was a carp salesman at the best of times.
Or my wife would pay in my then very good pre tax commission cheque. Again they would try and sell some dodgy investment deal. Total legalised crooks.
Now come on you Scottish person. You decided, as a tax payer, I would bail these numpties out with my cash. Get a grip and sort these legalised scammers out. Of course you won`t. You just soooo like those city people.0 -

What makes you think I was talking about you?
You stated that you have not been congratulating yourself in relation to screwing the system.
My post was very short and succinct.
Not easy to misinterpret.
This is obviously a very emotive subject for you.0 -

I would have thought, for ever reason, most folk going br is a very emotive issue. Not everyone I agree. I have known some that have have happily done it, one who owed me a good deal of cash.0 -

Bankrupt tomorrow and everybody in the whole wide world is to blame. Except him.

This raises a very good point. Years ago if you wanted a loan to buy a car you had to make an appointment to see bank manager at local bank and take in copy wage slips etc,
Over the last few years some banks and credit cards gave credit to people who had no way of paying back. Whilst there is one side which says credit should not have been taken, there is also another side to the argument which says the credit providers should have been more responsible.0 -

I am sorry if I have misinterpreted you, I apologise for venting , obviously myself and my family are at a low right now.0 -
At the end of the day if you cannot live within your means and take on debt that you cannot afford you are going to end up in trouble.
I have sympathy for those who have needed debt that they cannot afford to pay for necessities.
Anyone who is going bankrupt and has spent their debt on toys deserves everything that is coming to them.0 -

And here in a nutshell is exactly what I mean. It's not my fault, it's the banks blah blah blah. They sold me credit . .I didnt mean to do it, honesty, blah blah blah.
You took on loans because you wanted them. Noone can sell you something you don't want. Where is your sense of responsibility? A bank cannot sell credit unless someone - a supposedly rational responsible adult human being - decides to buy it.
But, of course, it's the bank's fault, isnt it. They must brainwash people, I suppose.
Time to increase my stake in bank shares.0
