I then have an assignment to write for my degree. Deep joy.

Why isn't there a puppy tickling degree? I'd so do it.

Blimey can't believe how long it has been since I wrote in here, tut tut. Sums up where I am really in the old MSE world. I feel like my frugal living is long gone and I so need to good kick up the butt.

I have a horrid month this month, I am finally getting my car back tomorrow and have to pay £500 for my excess  damn me getting a stupid car lol. I have just cashed in my xmas savings so that will cover all the bits I have left to get.

I need to get a plan up and running for my savings etc from December payday so I intend to sit down and go through that at some point today. I have got to start raising some extra money too as my plan was to recover the money I had paid for my car within 2 years but so far I have saved a big fat zero :o

Hi doodles - sorry you had a £500 excess that is steep! Glad you've nearly sorted xmas tho.... Happy Christmas. Put the tree up today! It looks gorgeous even if I do say so myself!

I think it's more like a shove onto the slide you need - you're far too hard on yourself at times ;)

Ok, so good habits have maybe fallen by the wayside - you can get them back. What with the car theft et al. you've been kept pretty busy, so let's see less Doodles telling herself off and more good intentions and resolutions for 2010!

Your December payday is in effect January's money, so why not type up some budget spreadsheets for 2010 (including funds for holidays/Christmas/car money etc.) and plan a few Doodle-centric challenges for next year?

I started my fiscal planning for 2010 in October :o

Things aren't the same for everyone, but I'll be motivating myself with a new diary and final DFW push starting on Hogmany (31st Dec). If nothing else, it's a good time of year to take stock and plan what's next?

I know I can be hard on myself but I really have become a very lazy lump in so many respects.

Had a lovely day out with my DD today and had a good think about what I want to do over the next year. So tonight I think I will record my thoughts and ideas on here and then spend the next couple of weeks deciding how I intend to achieve them.

Definately going to start a spreadsheet for my spendings from payday which is the 23rd as I wont need any of that cash for Christmas. Anyone got a spreadsheet that doesnt need excel though??

Do you mean as in a sample spreadsheet? I use Open Office (which can open Excel sheets too)

Yeah a sample spreadsheet, I think I have openoffice.

I should really just design one myself and not be so lazy :rotfl:
