Dive Dome was one of those projects that never took off.. unfortunately.
It was all over the local paper a few years ago, and was due to be built in Knowlhill (I think)
Shame as I was really looking forward to it.0 -
Sandy,
I can certainly advise against Homesure, who I used for my door replacement and although now done, it wasn't a smooth process. What irked me even more is that there was none of their promised followup customer service, and despite writing to them to point this out and ask for a receipt; I've still heard nothing!!
Custom Glaze aren't cheap but were recommended by my old neighbours, other than that I'm still looking!Hi everyone
I am looking for recommendations from MSEs of double glazing companies in Milton Keynes.
Has anyone used a local/national company recently who they were pleased with price wise and quality wise.
Or if there is anyone I should avoid like the plague then also please let me know!
Thanks

I used Anglian.. haggled like mad and got a really good price (about half their original quote). There were a couple of quality issues with workmanship, but all were corrected with no hassle. They also call me every year to see if all is still OK. 10 yr guarantee.
I got several quotes before opting for Anglian.. and got recommendations and went to see other installations.
PM me if you want contact details.0 -
We used Anglian too! but the Saleman's sister in law is my friend so he did us a really good quote straight off. Quality is good, any issues they send someone out within 2 - 3 weeks. Have been very happy with the doors and windows.
Cheers

Can anyone recommend a gardener who would be happy to cut grass/hedge/tidy borders etc once or twice a month? I live on the border of Beds/Bucks so someone from Olney/Newport Pagnell/Lavendon would be great.0

Yeah, my gardener Trevor lives in Luton (my sister lives there and recommended him) but travels to use in MK once a month to do our gardening and he is excellent!! he charges £30 for about 2 hours work incl travel costs and he brings his own equipment
pm me for his number0 -

I am looking for a company that will deliver a warm lunch and supply hot plates to keep the lunch warm.
Can anyone help me please ??Our dream has come true...0 -
Does anyone know of a good knife sharpening service locally? Often there is someone who will do it from their van, but I can't seem to find anyone. Apparently there is a guy in Olney, but I haven't a clue where to find him.
Someone suggested the hardware store in Stony as I think they sharpen lawnmower blades, but although they said yes when I called them, they sounded a bit too vague about it and I'm not sure I want to trust them with my expensive knife set! I do have a stone, and have done it myself in the past, but I've let them get really blunt, and now I really need an expert to get the edge back properly. Anyone got any suggestions??:think:0
