Hi there, I bought a Samsung M8800 at the carboot sale and have just paid a tenner to get it unlocked but I am having trouble with it and it is so annoying because I have never had a decent phone before.
It used to be an Orange phone but I wanted to be able to use my O2 Sim card in it but also have a Orange sim card. There are passwords on the phone that the original person must have had on there is there anyway of getting rid of all that? And also I am having trouble acessing the internet. Thank you for any help that you can give me x

Factory reset will clear most stuff off it.
Internet access needs setting on the phone, if it was on Orange and your trying to use it on O2, it'll still be trying to access through the Orange setting which won't work on O2.
If the phones seld on O2 call them and they'll go through the setting with you, if its not on O2 you need to look up what info it needs and where it goes in the menu's. . .0 -

Did you actually see the phone working when you bought it? i.e. making and receiving calls.0 -
Hi there, no I didnt see if the phone was working or not when I bought it as it was in a car boot sale and I thought that I would take the risk incase it was a dud phone as it was only £30.
Anyway I had it unlocked not unblocked. It was on the Orange network but I would like to use it with my O2 sim card. I have an Orange sim card which I used in it and can acess the internet from it but can not make or recieve calls or text messages. Everything else works on the phone like calender etc so dont know maybe I did just buy a dud phone.
Would love to know if anyone has any advise. I thought if it was a blocked phone then I would not even be able to turn it on and play around with it like take pictures etc? But I don't really know about techy things, thanks so much x0 -
OK lets start.
With no SIM in the phone, power it up and dials *#7465625#
It will show 12 different locks in OFF or ON mode.
Please report which locks are ON and which ones are OFF.

Thanks SparkDeals for taking the time out to help me, I really appreciate it. I have done what you said and every lock on there is set to (off) and there is only 11 on my phone not 12.
Thanks again x0 -
Try this one:
Master-Reset: *2767*3855#
This should reboot your phone and might solve the issue. Could you also please which software the phone has got by *#1234#Was this post useful to you? Feel free to click the thanks button--¬ :beer:0
