If the letting agent asks for a reference she will be stuck.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. How come she can afford a deposit and a months rent up front (which is what letting agents usually ask for) but can't afford to pay her arrears.
Is she on the electoral roll at her parents? Registered for council tax at that address? If not, she will come unstuck when she is credit checked.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Brilliant! So with a little careful checking by someone who knows what they are doing she will have demonstrated she is a liar & cheat - where does she think that will leave her??she has nt told the letting agent she is renting now she told them she lives with her parents will she get found out she dunt know how else she can start a fresh
Remember, Letting Agents post here & follow what's posted... so you can assume the new letting agents will be watching here...
How's about an alternative strategy?? Being honest?? It is, surely, the British Way??
Cheers!

Why doesn't her dad pay off the arrears instead? If she leaves in debt she is risking a CCJ which will affect her credit rating for at least the next six years. IIRC a landlord is only allowed to increase rent by 5%, is he asking for more than that?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
