Well on the way with the house decorating now! 3rd bedroom has taken a transformation, though our landing is full of boxes currently! and to make matters worse my passport is missing....gulp! hoping to get the room done in time to find it in time for my trip to Budapest next month!

Another payday and continuing to overpay on the mortgage, really having to stop ourselves looking at properties at the moment as we arent in a position to move, in fact the house is a million miles away from the standard we want? living on a large new housing estate we really feel that we will need to make the house stand out to get it sold when 4 or 5 similar ones are on the market at the sametime!

Overpaid another month and my regular saver matured so I am paying an extra £500 off the mortgage this month.

I have mentioned this on another thread, we received a letter from Santander stating they had received the £500 and had adjusted our payments accordingly for the rest of our term? I.E reducing the payment by around a fiver? I had to ring them up and increase our payments again so the term is kept down. Cheeky so and so's!!!

On the house front, garden will like a buidling site by the end of the month. A builder friend is sorting it for us and we decided on going for a more low maintenence design and went for something that might appeal more to potential buyers?

Payday! My mortgage is now under £48,000 and paid another increased payment off the joint mortgage, The aim to £80,000 is looking slim but my calculations will be out due to the £500 I paid extra last month. I will ring and get an up to date statement to see how far we have to go. Builder starts on 10th May doing back garden so had to budget in for that as its costing best part of £1000. Bedroom 3 is also painted an ready for furniture so finally feel like Mrs MM and myself are making progress.

Garden has been finished! 2 days ahead of schedule, now we have a garden we can be proud of and sit in with friends & family rather than the rubble left behind by the builders? Im already rather defensive over my turf! We have had comments from our neighbours on how good it looks and even my mother approves!!!!! We were sat in our lounge last night and thought it had started raining but it was just our neighbour reaching over the fence giving it a water with his hosepipe......we do have nice neighbours! Now onto other projects such as finishing painting all the bedrooms, a house has gone up for sale £5,000 above what we consider a good price for ours currently, hopefully it will sell soon to show there is a market for where we live. Payday next week and really hoping I can pay a bit of a lump sum off to get nearer the £80,000 mark
