    You do need emergency savings, unless you have an offset mortgage. Overpayments can't usually be recovered, even in an emergency.

  • Oh it is absolute rubbish! I have been going out to Tenerife for the past 5 years now, the Euro was around 1.47 to the £1 when I first started going? Now its literally a Euro to £1? Even in the local bars a pint is 2.50-3 euros? its not cheap anymore drink wise? but luckily the food is relatively still good value for money?
