awwwww im sure you give them a great xmas :) ...
i do the same but ive only got 2 to buy for .. although mister is only gonna be 6 months so it'll be his first xmas which i love making a big fuss over .. zoes birthday is 3 days before xmas so i usually have all year for her gonna be wierd having to do one in the middle of the year ..

i dont have any family round or go to dont really have much to do with them so i over do it on zoe although i always give her a birthday and xmas (cant stand people putting it together everyone else gets it seperate so does she :)) ...

i also do the one big present and loads of little ones but then i forget what ive got and buy more i wrap them on xmas eve to make it look like santa brought them ... 35 lat year .. think i over did it :o x

We always have a great time. Everyone knows that Christmas day is me and the girls only, so they don't bother inviting or popping around as they know they wouldn't be welcome.

It will be strange having something to think about at a different time. I don't have to worry about Christmas Birthdays, as mine are between Feb and Oct, although 14 turns 15 on Sunday and the twins turn 9 next Thursday, so it's party season!

I do agree Christmas and Birthday should be apart. Birthday is an individual day and should be celebrated as so.

I've already wrapped the presents I have bought, just as I hate it and don't want to be left with a huge pile on Christmas Eve

35 is quite alot :rotfl: I don't think I will be doing that :rotfl: It's a bit late but I can still work out that would be about 245 presents to get  245 penny chews maybe :o

I best be off to bed. Been nice chatting. Enjoy your day tomorrow searching and that applies to everyone else too :)

    I don't really like Christmas.....

Well I like the whole togetherness and the fun day, I hate how I feel pressured into spending a ridiculous amount on presents.

I bought Keira the wooden farm from the ELC last year, which was £35, she also got accessories for it, plus lots of stocking filler type things, new paints, pallets for said paint, puzzles, books etc. I don't think I spent an excessive amount on her and that was fine.

My mum p***** me off every Xmas, it's HER that puts a dampner on things for me. Oh you only spend XYZ pounds on Keira? You can afford more than that.....Well so what if I can? She has EVERYTHING already, I actually find it very difficult buying her things at xmas and birthdays, as she has lots, though I need to throw out some rubbish, or at least put things back in their right place!
I also feel like I HAVE to spend a certain amount on my two sisters otherwise she will have a right face on her, she is very greedy my mum and doesn't care as long as she/her family are benefitting. I gave both my sisters stuff worth £50 last year, and I bought my mum a digital camera - also £50. Keira got a £7 toy from Argos from her, we got nothing. So she isn't getting that this year, and I know fine she will have a go about it but tbh I'm sick of spending so much money and putting thought into gifts for them, for her not to make an effort and how she can moan about me not giving them XYZ amount on gifts when she spends less than a tenner is beyond me.

The reason we got nothing and Keira got so little APPARENTLY was because the whole lot of them went to Spain for Christmas, now if you can afford that you can afford a bit more than £7 measly quid on your grand daughter.....She didn't get me anything for my 21st birthday last October either, "Oh I'll get you something next week" STILL WAITING! yet she moaned at me because I only spent £30 on her 40th birthday present.

I really wish I could cut her out my life but then I'd never see my sisters. She just frustrates me with her hypocritical memememememe attitude.

Really CBA with Xmas this year......

My Mum phoned today, all a bit emotional! Bro is having a memory board at his wedding, so she was looking through photo albums, and getting a bit sad at how quick babies grow up! Must remember to take in every minute of this. I was about 13 months when she stopped feeding me, and she said she still remembers how sad she felt when I got off the sofa from my last feed. How am I ever going to give up BF'ing? :o
    Have another baby?

i thought i'd MSE and i didnt buy a single newborn size thing before seth was born - i sent OH and my nan out to buy things the day after i came home cos it was ridiculous! and i second feelie's pad wearing advice, i did that and i didnt leak either! but i got through 25 in the whole 30 hours i was in after he was born
That's what I planned on (just getting 0-3 months) but then we were given loads of newborn stuff by OH's step cousin once removed who had a baby six months before us and then when I bought some 0-3 months on e-bay they turned out to be newborn (got a refund and got to keep them) so actually ended up with mountains of NB and no 0-3.

I watched a BF video on youtube the other night which said baby would be full after 15-20mins of audible swallowing.. I wish someone had told Rhys! He's been there, doing it properly for a change for well over an hour.. I'm going numb!
Nobody's told Alice that - her feeds still average more than 20 minutes.

If it's any consolation, i've never taken my girls on holiday. Neither mother could have gone on holiday without freaking about everything and these days I cannot afford for us all to go. Bad father

I hope to one day before they get too old, hopefully within a couple of years, even if it's only to Butlins or something
From age 4 to 15 I only ever went on holiday to Butlins - I always enjoyed it.

    Morning all..

Dunno where Rhys is putting it, but he packed in the milk last night and still only slept for just under five hours  Woke up at ten past six so not too bad :)

I've put the discount codes from the Prima Baby magazine offer booklet here if they can help anyone :) Most are discounts on big orders from the likes of Mothercare and ELC and then smaller discounts on companies you might not have heard of, but you never know. I particularly like www.the-all-in-one-company.co.uk ;)

We're going into work with my mum today. After last week's panic attack she's still quite on edge and was getting upset about going into work (she does typing for a local charity on a voluntary basis), so I said I would go with her and we'll treat it as going in to show Rhys off to her colleagues and just grabbing a few bits while she's there - we're going to photocopy the letters/meeting minutes she has to send then bring them back here and envelope them up :)

Monster-in-law is gracing us with her presence too but only to drop fruit (from their allotment) off, not to see Rhys especially.. charming!

And it's (supposed to be) the builder's last day! :j :D He's got two doors to hang, some rendering to do around the patio doors on the outside, two holes in the floor to fill and a pipe on the boiler to sort then [STRIKE]I'll let him out[/STRIKE] it's all done! :D Just waiting for the plaster in the bedroom to dry then we can paint and move back in but they should only be the weekend as it's drying pretty fast.

Oh, it seems Rhys is waking up for second breakfast.. best go :)

Holidays - we did some caravan park holidays when I was skint and the boys enjoyed it. The best was one the Glen Nevis caravan park near Fort William that I mentioned a few days ago.

I've been poorly in the night again with my bowel. I've got IBS but it's been playing up a lot lately and I feel really run down. I know I'm overdoing stuff, so it's probably just that.
Here I go again on my own....
