We are foregoing our annual holiday this year to try and really make a dent on our debt's but we have decided to visit friends and family in far flung places (well throughout the UK) my brother has a place in york and stirling we have friends in morecombe (I think thats how you spell it) and also friends in chester so we have asked them all if we can go and stay with them for a long weekend throughout the year, that way the we and the children get a change of scenery and we also get to see friends and family that we really don't see enough of.
I'm not sure how well it will work but that is the plan

    Total Debt: [STRIKE]£24,359.79[/STRIKE] £16,452

I've been saving my clubcard vouchers and now have about £500 worth of "deals" which I am going to use for days out eg theme parks etc, and meals out in the summer hols this year........then next year, am hoping for a "proper" holiday.....somewhere hot and sunny......as we will be debt free by then!!

  • Great idea Emmie not sure who to visit as most family are in the local area or abroad. Do have friends in Gloucester though :). Will have a think.

Tesco vouchers are the main plan though have loads. Also will use localish parks in Warwick and Stratford. Warwick has a nice play area and paddling pool. Also may look at the castle with the vouchers.

bad day spending wise - 50 on diesel - needed but then 2.50 lunch and 7 in pub the later not needed but very much enjoyed!!. Back to hibernating for the weekend. Must go Tesco though. Tried online but all deliveries booked till Tuesday :(. The roads here are still appalling people travelling from out of the county are amazed how bad it is. Only main roads gritted.

Some good news expenses are completed and £88 higher than I had estimated so that will help if I dont waste it.
