As far as I am aware everyone is entitled to a certain amount after that period of service.
SuS in Collie get it so I dont see why you shouldnt.
You should contact your resettlement clerk/regional centre soonest as your departure from the Service may be sooner rather than later based on what you have said so far.0 -
It was over 12 years ago but its not the point as i lost out on everything and now i am having to work in Iraq for a job as i only know what i was taught in the Army0

It may depend if there were any criminal charges against you. If there are no circumstances as such you should have received a portion resettlement from your 12 year of service point.
Under normal cicumstances having left after 17 years of service - At the age of 55 you should receive 17/22nd of the service pension amount on a monthly basis0 -
You need to direct the question to the Admin Section of where you are based.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0

Depends on what QR you were discharged on if its because you've been naughty then you get nothing for resettlement, if you haven't you would get the full package. If you're RAF go to the Learning Centre to see the RRA if army contact the EIRO Navy not sure but speak to your admin office.0

The same thing happened to my husband last year after 11 years service. There were no charges. It was an administrative discharge and he got nothing. Unfortunately he was not naughty but got nothing. He's now signed off with depressive illness because of it. Got no resettlement at all, got told he wasn't entitled to anything.LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:
Current debt levels: OD £3860, Loan 1 £6091, Loan 2 £5052, Parents £260, Total £16133  As at 01 May 2012 - 51.69% paid off :j

That is complete rubbish. Pension law clearly states you cannot have pension taken away for an offence commited after the pension is earned. If you were a naughty boy, get yourself a good lawyer (http://www.armyclaims.co.uk/ dragged off google). The armed forces can try and be as sh*ty as they like, they cant treat people like they did in the 60s in the modern day.0 -

Actually it does allow DB pension to be forfitted.
1. If you are prosecuted for, eg, fraud, the employer can recover it's losses from your pension, although only up to the losses - no punitive sanctions allowed
2 Most (all?) public sector pensions have a clause allowing forfiture if:
a. Convicted of treason
b. Convicted under the Official Secrets Act & sent down for 10+ years
c. Convicted of an offence connected with your employment which the Secretary of State thinks "leads to a loss of confidence in the Public Service". Although this one may be incompatible with Human Rights law0 -
