Hi Wol - how you doing - looking forward to the weekend I hope

christmas tree time here - apparently our preferred type is in short supply - will see what I can pick up from the forest :rotfl:

    :rotfl:Careful with that axe [STRIKE]Eugene[/STRIKE] Markie :rotfl::rotfl:

...ooh and can you chop one for me too - the ones that don;t drop their needles please :D....and a blue spruce would be luverly ;)

Hello stranger....lovely to see you :j:j...how;s you? Doing good I hope and looking forward to some nice chill out time at Christmas?

I have my activities for tomorrow planned - including getting the Christmas tree and stocking up on piggie hay/sawdust/food for the next 4 weeks.(Uncle Mick kindly collects all the newpapers on the tube and I picked another load up yesterday so I now have plenty of stock. :D)

Yep this weekend is going to be a chill-out piggie spa-in-front-of-the-telly weekend (nails, baths, grooming and ectoparasite treatment) while Piggie Palace is turning a blush pink courtesy of the disinfectant. :o

By sunday they should all be back in their homes feeling much better (they have certainly livened up now they have started the antibiotics so that is a good sign)

Just zooming off now to get one of those weedkiller spray thingies from Homebase as I only just realised mine got trashed in the flood.

    Catch you all later

Lucky beggars - some women pay a fortune for that kind of treatment!

Horace - on day shifts I listen to Sarah Kennedy en route to work, but on nights I will have to see who replaces the Ginger One....I could always slap on a CD I suppose, or switch to Classic FM, but the adverts annoy me.

Enjoy the weekend Wol and all!

Tuesday is interesting I had a choice of two meetings, both must do's, and both on my day off (but I will get one back in the new year!!)

There is a guinea pig rescue going on this afternoon just off the M54....apparently loads of guinea pigs have been dumped (?) in a field and have been living (and breeding) in the wild there since at least October.. A local man has been taking them food and they appear quite tame, but despite his calls, the RSPCA won;t help...:(. Two little bodies were found yesterday on a recce .

Don;t worry though folks, I am not going to take in any more as I've got my hands full atm, I have however offered my services to pick up and transport any caught to rescue centres darn sarf next week.

I hope they manage to catch them all..and I'm amazed at how quickly the rescue has been mobilised as it only went on the internet yesterday afternoon...

.I'm really quite cross and upset that someone could do something like this....in view of the fact there are plenty of piggie rescues around the country that would have taken them in .

So true Numpty Hun - but I'm saving my energy for the piggies rather than the worthless scum that put them there.......

Unfortunately after 5 hours of searching they came back empty handed :(
They have left hay/dried food and somebody will check to see if that is eaten during the next few days.
A fox sett was found nearby _pale_..
....and beneath the dead mummy and daddy guinea pig was their little baby - only 2-3 weeks old :cry:

Some stuff about this doesn;t add up....... allegedly the pigs have all been there since October...and this man goes to feed them in a regular place..has taken photos and videos...and even picked one up and put it in his car.. Unfortunately there was just a couple of people thrashing around in a rather large area today so I think a more concerted organised effort is needed if the pigs really do exist....I hope someone isn;t having a joke at the expense of some dedicated animal lovers....why haven't the bodies been removed by the foxes if they were left overnight....how come they were so easily found yet none of the other piggies appeared where the man feeds them ....:confused:
It's a big open area where they are supposed to be and a proper co-ordinated effort with moveable boundary fencing and traps is required methinks to save any of the little mites ......and it was so very bitterly cold yesterday maybe they have moved on and found a burrow somewhere.....

This is preying on my mind more than I thought.....must get a grip....I have toenails to cut :D.

    Morning everyone

I have lots of things I should do today but I'm not going to make a list..:D

..however by the end of today the two things I must have done are (a) preparation for client meeting tomorrow and (b) re-homed all nicely groomed piggies back in sparkly clean Piggy Palace

The christmas tree is outside in a bucket (nice man cut the end off for me so saved me a job), Fleure has finally been laid to rest, I managed to avoid X factor :D......and there is a chicken in the fridge ready for a roast dinner this evening....I even started drawing up a christmas present list yesterday ....but the less said about that the better :o

And just in case I fancy a bit of ironing tonight - I got the new Harry Potter DVD in Sainsbury's yesterday for £7.00 :D

Well thats my sunday sorted - see you this evening!

Good afternoon Wol, just think - you could watch the DVD then wrap it and give it to someone for Christmas - one present crossed off the list! Or is that being a bit tight? I sometimes do that with books - read them first before giving them away. And I assume you are going to stretch that roast chicken to at least 2 meals and a batch of soup?
