Schoolgirl french, I'm afraid, I'm a chemistry teacher, though not a responsible one as I made a fireball in the garden on Saturday night...

And I'm liking your latin signature!

Phew, that's OK then - my degree's in Chemistry too - we'd be dangerous if they put us together :T:rotfl::j:beer:

The latin was in a very thoughtful article in yesterday's Observer, and I thought it very appropriate :D

Oh no, the clearing out of the cupboard under the stairs has turned into massive VHS sort out.

Anyone want about a million videos? :)

Well, knackered now, going to finally have a sit down, see if I can get my 5 items listed on Ebay and start making a list of all these videos and maybe even get to bed before 11! I have to say getting stuck into the list dealt with my earlier Meh! feeling a treat!

    evening all

hope everyone is doing ok. I have done zero flying, just about to put the bins and recycling out then bed for me. Been to Ik*a tonight with my friend for our usual free refils of tea and coffee (free tea and coffee at that with her family card!). Seem to ahve almost lost my voice though. Am wondering whether this cold is ever going to clear! I look like Rudolph and I am meant to be having a pic taken for the council newspaper tomorrow!!

I had better go and sort tomorrow's lunches and cut up some onions so I can throw a spag bol together in the morning. No rest for the wicked!

Jo, just wondering if his wife knows what he is like? Doesn't seem like they have much to celebrate to me. Big hugs to you

Flying: will be doing the LR tomorrow, especially the floor

Woop - made i back on line - the site wouldnt let me on earlier!

I have seriously thought about changing my number and told him that I had - but ive sent out about a trillion CVs and applications all with this number on, so I dont really want to have to change it!!! (its not a pathetic excuse for him to stay in touch)

But this decluttering malarky has a lot to answer for...... I had my old mobile in a drawer, for ages and ages, which was tranferred to PAYG when i got a new contract.....I want to text him from that phone, and tell him I have a new number, as he will delete the old one and replace it with the new - and then I can switch the old phone back off and be done with it!!

But I cant sodding find it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have looked in every drawer, cupboard, handbag..... i dont know where the hell i have put it.

Anyway Im trying not to think about it! I am shockingly underprepared for tomorrow cos of todays events - off to read some more and practice my interview techniques

Valli - the reason me and him fell out in the end was because I wasnt happy they were so close and he wouldnt ask her for a divorce cos he didnt want to hurt her feelings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Despite the fact they had been seperated three years........ She lives three hours away.......and he has given up his flat here.

  • pigpen - thanks for tomorrows list...I think I can cope with the kitchen to start with! Ease me back into it!

toots - Thanks :) we're all fine. I was at home with LO when it happened and it wasn't high speed or anything. The guy in front of him stopped, put the car into reverse and proceeded to dent the bonnet! Very mundane but seems to have caused about £1200 of damage! In general I'm not too stressed about it (considering worrying is one of my talents!) There's nothing I can do about it so what's the point of getting upset....(doesn't stop me being a teeny bit irritated at the muppet in the other car though!)

We just had a very MS tea! Curried parsnip soup (dodgy looking parsnips in the bottom of the fridge and a jar of A*da 4p curry sauce that had been lurking in a cupboard cos I was too scared to use it for an actual curry!) with homemade bread and Apple crumble made with home grown apples and stuff in the baking cupboard :) I have to say, the soup was delish! Will be making more of that! :)

elly how awful for you - that is sad to have to do that - how old is she if you dont mind me asking?
She is 15 now toots, but this has been an ongoing problem for the past few years it started out with the odd £10 or so which as a single mum of five is still alot but then she stole £200 (my sil catolouge payment ) so now i am trying to repay that as well as all the every other day things that need paying'
Hugs to you Jo what a horrible position to be in (sorta been there myself at one point)you are better off without someone like that in your life.

I remembered that you and he had fallen out because he couldn't close the book with her IYSWIM...clearly he was 'hedging his bets' - has the woman NO PRIDE? having said that though I don't know what her situation is - she could have such low self esteem that she is pleased to have him back - but leopards don't change their spots and if neither of them change what drove them apart before will again - I think he is now trying to have YOU 'in reserve'. I hope you can stick to your guns - be strong!
Good luck with the interview BTW
