OOoh, I've just been on the Debenhams sale!

Got this - I've been wanting one for ages - I've currently got an electric one but prefer a hob one, elec one can go once this has come! My other pans are all Meyer brushed st steel but this will do i think! I also got 4 denby dessert plates as it's the only thing we only have 4 of (well, except mugs but they were a bonus). I did also want a butter dish but saw one for £3 up the high street today, not paying loads for that!

Also nipped on Quidco to find my £38 on home insurance has tracked, and remembered to change bank details whilst i was at it. So, with an extra 10% off and free delivery (codes on here) I've not spent too much!

but now i'm coughing lots so am going to make a honey and lemon :) and watch a bit of the cricket with the boys

julie - how are things with DH now?

Better than they were thanks rach. Just keep plodding along and see how things go.
juliejim hope the kitties are ok - are you having one?

I doubt it - I wouldn't mind but I don't think DH would go for it and Gemma would never leave it alone!

Valli We watched War of The Worlds last night too- agaaaaaain. I love it, that Dakota girl was really irritating me though, she just repeated everything twice, never noticed before lol AF is looming so that's probs the reason.....wanted to slap her silly.

Had a fabulous bike ride (thanks tootsy) we were out for 3 hrs and rode approx 8-10 miles  Who'd have thunk it me on a bike that far :rotfl: feel great too, full of beans albeit with a sunburnt face - oops! did a lot of 'firsts' though, went to the end of the Pier and I've never done that, and discovered other things you don't get to see in a car.

Cut the front grass and I found a battalion of Gurkhas :o looks good now though even though the edge needs strimming and I forgot to get the entension lead from OH's - TWICE! so I can't do it.....it'll do for now.

My washing dried and folded, littleys still on the line but it's dry, will bring that in in a bit, going to have tea first which is a naughty one - pie, chips, mushy peas & gravy. YUM!

Got The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to watch tonight, hope I'm not a lightweight and fall asleep half way through it lol all that sea air might get to me later.

ETA: Rach noooooooooo I need one of those but can't quite justify getting it yet - stupid car service and car MOT in Sept so need spare dosh for those... *pouts* it's luverly!
  • We've finally got round to washing the car, hoovering inside the car and cleaning all the spoove off the seats (just need to febreze the seats in the morning). And while I was out there I cleaned the outside of the lounge windows too.
Have sterilised the bottles for the blackcurrant cordial and now I just need to get started on the tomato chutney.

    jobs for today
sew more of the viking costume
    more of viking shield
clear away stuff into compost bin
    clean out chicken house
    sweep paths
    [STRIKE]
    wash car
    hoover car
    wash seats in car
    [/STRIKE]
    tomato chutney

Oooh that's nice. I have Prestige pans (some of which I have had for 25 years) and they have lasted really well...

Denby's not far from here and there's a factory shop - my next set will, I hope, be Denby!:D:D:D:D
Free listing on e bay so I have listed 3 things - more cash for the bathroom fund I hope!

have just realised that the X factor is back on at 7pm!!! Im switching my phones off, opening a bottle of wine and a bar aof chocolate - and everyone else can shuffle off!

Dishes are done.....off to be good housewife and put my cloths in some bleach.

Kitchen is clean and deepcleaned my microwave and have vinegar in the kettle - as well as having already done my toaster this week. So all of the small applicances are done too! I havent mopped the floor though. Tomorrow im gonna mop through all of the downstairs.

Thanks to HRH for adding my kitchen windowsill to this weeks list......Its so nice and tidy and clean now. I keep just looking at how pretty is looks. Now that the rest of the kitchen is done, it looks so much better!

Isnt it funny how when you are in a bad mood, or cleaning to take your mind off things, you do it so much better than you normally would!!! I thought I wouldnt get any cleaning done, but its all Ive wanted to do today!

I have even done ironing, which you know I hate with a passion.
