The kitchen floor has had a thorough sweep over. I managed to drop a pyrex casserole dish lid. Boy, for something so small in the grand scheme of things, it didn't half travel far in a gazillion pieces once it hit the ground!

BB was quite upset with me when I locked her out of the kitchen for the duration of the sweeping...

But I think all the glass is up now. Maybe I should find a small child and pay them to walk bare foot over the kitchen floor just in case...

    *drumroll*

I have washed my way through the 20 loads of laundry on the kitchen floor... there were actually 21.. but I did do some fromthe basket that was already there and I did take out some bits I refuse to do!

I have need of a binbag as I have a pile of stuff for charity shop and another carrier full for nursery when they go back (16 days of horrorday left!!)

Off to get them all into bed... they have been playing nicely for a change and SD1 eventually turned up to collect Jacob.. we had had an hours play then he went to sleep for 2.5 hours lol.. after having his stinky nappy changed of course.. and DS1 finally left about 7pm... after a hair cut and a shower!!

glad to know I am useful!

Anyway, as I had the shears out I minced DS2 and DS3 as well so they are not happy... but they look so much tidier!!

I lopped a whopping 8inches off DD2's hair last night and continued operation deflea this afternoon.. the little blighters were not done in by the full marks so we are back to the trusty old nitty gritty combing until it is back to school.. She is the only hoppy one at the moment so I am desperately trying to prevent them spreading to the littlies.. one of those gets them and all 3 have them!

    Back soon.. :D
good grief pigpen what a busy day you hav had -20 loads of washing - incredible!!! And 8 inches of DD2's hair - it must be really long? Is she happy with it shorter? And you get a star too - WTG!!!!!

just bveen speaking to Miss A and her Mum - they have arrived safely and are settled in their campsite - about 20 paces from the play area so Master W is well pleased!! they are busy trying to decide whats first on the agenda!!!

    toots xx

Greenbee - very envious of the figs. Our local garden centre had some fan trained fig trees the other day for £40, must check on Crocus as that seems like a lot to me, and I just cant justify it at the moment.

They got it as a very little baby fig, dug a hole, lined it with paving slabs and waited... it's taken its time, but most years it does pretty well. Some years it's fantastic, and occasionally it sulks. My dad grows asparagus too... Apparently they now have an indoor fig in the conservatory which they got a couple of years ago and it has just started fruiting. When you think of the price of figs in the supermarket, £40 seems quite reasonable! But you should be able to get it cheaper.

Toots - aren't you supposed to be in bed by now? And no... I'm not a daddy's girl... I'm nice to ANYONE who does DIY for me :p If I finish my walk with my brother on time I'm off to the basingstoke meet (even though soappie has abandoned me so I'll have to brave all those strangers on my own!). And then I have to finish my flying so I can bake the sponge for the birthday cake I need to make for next saturday (a piggy for a 1st birthday!).

My dad has just squashed a spider on the landing. He's more scared of them than me... but he had shoes on and I didn't... I walked right past it, and only noticed the shadow! I think I'm going to have to keep the windows closed until spider season is over...
