I also have my A+L CC run by MBNA with no balance owing on it.CL is £5k and they have offered me 0% as well so have that route to go down as well but will have to have the cash transferred into my bank account and then pay Virgin as both cards are MBNA.
Will decide at some point.A+L for the Santander card said I'd hear from them in 3-5 days sio will decide then.0 -
Bit of a mixed bag this afternoon news wise.!!!
Spoke to DD1 earlier and DGS has definite flu.He has been to the walk in centre and they said he definitely has flu and may have mild swine flu....bless him.He had so little energy that he wet his pants and told his mumhe had no energy to go to the toilet..poor wee thing.
Done the banking and accounts for today.
We paid £765 off DHs Halifax CC today as well.
The best bit of new by far is that my accountant came around and we have tax rebates of £718.98 and £731.22 to come back.
I have no payment on accounts to make and DH has to pay £328.54 on each of jan and july..
So when the tax rebates hit our accounts I'll keep the money aside for DHS tax and pay the rest into the savings to go towards debt/mortgage.0 -
Good news...keep us posted re the cards/bt...as for all the housework you make me tired just reading it!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

great news about the tax rebates, and the overpayment. Fingers crossed about the new card.
when i read you decided to watch tv and not clean i thought Phew Taxi is human after all and not an absolutely super dooper super hero, just a human super hero.0 -
Thanks all..had to rest last night as had overdone the housework.
Am quite relieved about the tax as it puts me in front....so no need to use CCs for the shortfall.0 -
Thats brilliant news about the tax, so sorrry about jj, hope he feels better soon. Poor little angel.
Can't believe how well ur doing.
Give you a laugh, rang the department dealing with my exam arrangements, the poor woman nearly had a heartattack, it took a week to get me a venue locally, if they can't find anyone to write the exam for me with such short notice. (Shall I book a broken bone in the diary), I may have to take father into the exam with me so he can write, bless him, his writing is like a spider, luckly he can spell, but as for anything business related above a bank statement he's had it!.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I can imagine the scene..him reading you the question and father having to write your answers down...you'll have to be in the room with the exam invigilator and just you two as the others wouldn't be able to cocentrate...oh dear!!!
I will check on JJ in the morning(by phone) to see how he is?..she's giving him fluids and calpol and letting him eat what he wants when he wants but he isn't eating much...bless him ..he's so quiet at the minute.
She's found a nice place and is moving at the weekend...that flat she has is cold and damp and no heating!!!!..she said the new one is lovely.0 -
That is brilliant news over the flat, couldn't come at a better time.
I've caused enough fun + games, becoz of the lovely, wonderful, beautiful crutches, I don't have to travel to the normal exam centres anything from 1 1/2hr to 2 hr drive, I'm 5 mins down the road, 30 minutes for breaks allowed, and just me + the invigilator.
Hope he feels better in the morning, send our love + hugs, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mum to one sounds as if you are in a bad way with crutches and arm splints. Must be pretty tricky. Get well soon and good luck with the exams.
Poor little gs Taxi - it's surprising how quickly these little ones bounce back- they are so much more resiliant than us - or are we just mardies lol. Hopefully his weak stage won't last too long and he'll be bouncing back.
Have you had the test results you were waiting for yet - glad to hear you are taking it easy today.
You have made some amazing payments recently and good news on the tax rebates - don't like the taxman getting more than he should - if truth be known don't like him getting anything really - but that's life lolJanuary spends - £587.580
