Hi taxi - that's a great system for the accounts, I often plan to start doing that and it never lasts more than a couple of days. Your accounts must be ten times more complicated than mine too.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Thanks EssexHebridean......I've had quite a productive busy day.
Had to take the car to garage as the emmissions light kept coming on....So while I was there waiting I wrote my complaint letter and handed that in....(so that can be crossed off the list).....it was a valve..EPR or something like that !!!!
Next...went to Tesco armed with £25 gift card (courtesy of Sky) and £3 of luncheon vouchers(courtesy of Pinecone..for my 1st survey ages ago).....I was going to buy JJ some books to help his reading and writing and some big envelopes....while there I also bought 2 lots of 42 wash Persil(only £4 each) and rice and turkey and some other shopping....Grand total ....£30.71.
So only cost £2.71.....I have £3.50 to claim back on tax for the envelopes...I then looked at the receipt and saw that they had charged £1.01 too much for one of the books...so went to CS and they gave me £2.02 back...so am up on the shopping...lol....
Then into the garage to fill up,then to car wash and on to PO to do the banking.
Came home and I've implemented a new account system....I have wrote Oct on a large envelope and I have a large piece of paper in there with oct 09 on it with incomings one side and outgoings on the other and I am filling it in every tea time so I won't be stressed about the accounts again.
I've since wrote out an envelope and sheet for every month from April last year until April 2010 so that I can bring all accounts up to date.
It's a start anyway0 -
Sorry seaxwyn you came in as I was posting!!!
My accounts are quite complicated with the capital allowances for the car and it involves the car crash...eg...the losses and financial settlement etc...I will explain all that to the accountant as he will have to interpet what to do with those figures....0 -
Afternoon all..just a quick one from here for now.
I promise to carch up with you all over the next few days.
There's been "stuff" going on here and the long and short of it is is that I ended up having to do a 14 hour shift on monday night!!!...couldn't sleep properly yesterday and it's put everything out all week now!!!
I need to update my sig but will do it when I log on again.
Think I need to write a list of to do stuff for this month..as there's loads.
So here goes:
(1) Do accounts..have had a letter from accountant!!!....Started
(2)Do complaint letter for Vauxhall....Done and handed in
(3)Go to council and renew taxi badge and take insurance documents in
(4)Buy JJ some of those books that help with his writing.....Done
(5) Keep on top of washing....getting there
(6)Deep clean bedroom 1
(7)Deep clean bedroom 2
(8)Deep clean bathroom
(9)Deep clean hall/stairs/landing
(10)Deep clean both living rooms
(11)Deep clean kitchen.
So this month is all cleaning and paper work and I need to come up with a plan to keep on top of the accounts.
I have made a start so am feeling positive about that:T:T:T
As for cleaning tasks...all of the floors have been brushed and hoovered.Nearly all the washing is done and the bath, toilet and sink have been cleaned:T:T:T
It's all a work in progress0 -
Accounts sound like a bit of a nightmare - my work has its down side sometimes but I'm glad I don't have to bother about accounts, tax or anything like that - I'd be an absolute disaster at it.
Where did September go to - didn't quite manage all the nsds I'd hoped for - managed 12 and had hoped for 14 - so not too bad really.
It sounds as if you are feeling a bit better and more positive Taxi - hope you have a car problem free month (or any problem come to that!!)January spends - £587.580 -
sorry taxi, i kind of forget that not everyone is obsessed by excel etc. if i lived closer i'd be offering to help you, not that you seem to need much help as you really have it under control.
I'm going to start a deep clean here, i know what you mean about feeling the need to do something, we've been away and didn't get time before we went away to really clean properly after the carpenter was here, so it's bugging me.0 -
Thanks Milann...I am feeling a bit better.Trying to become organised and manage my time wisely. There's always so much to do and so little time so my organisational skills need working on.I need to get the house totally clean and decluttered and the have a system in place to keep on top of it.
That is great 12 NSDs...Well done.0 -

I think this is going to be the easiest solution for me.
I have an accountant to do all the mathematical stuff and submit the returns as we have 3 to do...2 individual and one partnership one.0
