Thankyou for all the well wishes....

Saw my oncologist and what a lovely man he is..
I have a long road ahead as I will be having 6 cycles of FEC chemotheraphy followed by 15 rads....this is what I need to do to prevent recurrence.
Chemo will be given by drip once every 3 weeks...so that's 18 weeks worth
Then I have a break for 4 weeks
Then I have radiotherapy mon-friday every day for 3 weeks.

It needs to be this way as I have a 68.5% of no recurrence within 10 years without chemo but this goes to 81% with chemo so a real big difference....so I'd be a fool not to have it.

Having those stats has made me feel much more positive today...having no nodes involved really helped to push my stats up in the first place so am so lucky that I found it before it got there....


Please please check your boobies and have any lumps checked at once is the moral of this story.

Yes, it is a long road ahead but you are used to those and this particular 'yellow brick road' has an amazing gift at the end of it!

So at last you have a plan, Taxi, and the statistics look pretty good - make sure you eat well, get plenty of rest and try to avoid stress if possible (hah blooming hah!) as you will need all your energy to cope with the treatment, as I am sure you are already aware. It will be worth it, though - look at all the thousands of women who have come through this before you. You will soon be joining their ranks. Take care.

Thanks El...am really pleased myself.

On the MSE front the refund of £196.60 loan overpayment hit the bank today so I have rounded it up to £200 and put it in mortgage savings.
