ohhh taxi what type of camera are you going for? have a wee sneak at the cannon eos range 50d is a nice one ... s.l.r camera ... i had a 40d (one of the ones that were stolen) and a 350 eos (35mm camera) i have to admit i did prefer the 35 mm camera to the digital but i think thats more because i am old fashioned than anything else ....
am looking for a new camera myself someone mentioned the olympus pen ep1 but i have to admit i wasnt very impressed with it ...
i would happily give space room for a good nikon (what the professionals use generally) or a cannon
It's a nikon d5000...it's very fancy....also get 2 lenses and some filters.
Don't know a lot about it yet as DH was the one reading up on them and I haven't had it out of the box yet to have a play.
Am hoping to go on a photography course at some point..then I can really make good use of it.
DH will help me get to grips with it all...it also does videos...i'm a real technophobe..lol...but will get to grips with it in the next few days0 -
Camera sounds great.

but as i said it cleared the debt and left a bit of change,,
so even a small win can be life changing,,but coming to mse was a bigger life change ,,the good habits i learnt from the folks here ,,stopped me wasting that money and set me to where i am today
still in poverty:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
but debt free:T:T:T
so much so that the accident cash cleverly invested for 4 yrs,,,while still living the impoverished life style has reaped massive rewards
again the main lesson if youve got a small lump of money dont let it change your good habits to bad one,,
even setting up the shop im still hunting all the time for better deals, discount eth,
thank you martin ( blessed be his name)

Taxi
today you diary has taken me longer to read than Hypno, and that is saying something! Obviously so many posts because everyone is so very happy for you being debt free.
I am also certain having this 'weight' lifted off you will have a very positve impact on your journey back to wellness.

Hi everyone xxx
I haven't posted on the roll of honour yet...don't know why..lol
Today I had reflexology and then went into town for a couple of bits and had lunch with 2 of my daughters and daughters friend and then home and slept for 3 hours...must've needed that..lol
Still haven't done accounts yet...so will definitely do those tomorrow.
The bank phoned me about the lump sum asking if I want to put it in a savings account...will have a good look around before I decide what to do with it.
The longer term plan is to pay the mortgage off but at the moment whilst not wanting to spend the money I need to have money instantly available for emergency repairs on the car etc while we build up money in the current account that pays the bills to cover such things.
The lump sum is sat in a completely different account with no bills going out of it...so it cannot get mixed up with other monies.
I'm never going to use a CC or credit again and also plan to carry on with all that I've learnt from Martin.0 -
