Would nearly go for the interview and point out with all your medical appts and the impact of potential medication/treatment, where is it they would like you to work and what employer would be happy to have an employee who is off sick 4/5 days per week - numpties!
    LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
    (CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
    Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

DWP are a bunch of tw*ts....how come, when my daughter needed their help, they said that her 5 years of NI contributions would 'run out' after about 3 weeks meaning that she would not get JSA.........we asked them to explain that particular phrase, they never did but then DS got a job ( with no help from them!) and then got pregnant and that was problem solved!
.....they also asked her to come into the Central Oxford Office ( 15 miles away and a Rural Bus Route costing a fortune ) for her Interview and then told her that she needed to come back THE FOLLOWING DAY to Sign on! Amazing.

    Keep on keeping on! x
    :D:D stay wonky :D:D

    *creeps out of lurkdom*

Another 'fan' of the DWP here.... OH lost his job in Dec 09, and since then, despite going to sign on every week, he received the princely sum of........ £45!!! A couple of months ago, he got a tax rebate for £90, after having not paid tax for four months!! He now has a job, with no help from them ( their idea of a local job for a non driver was Woking - we're in Oxford so !!!!!!!?!) so thankfully no more dealings needed with them! C**ks!!

On a happier note, congratulations on your DF-ness Taxi, and I hope everything goes well moving forward with your health, you seem very positive!

    Sx

Karma - I LOVE the 'they lie like rugs' comment, it's definitely true of DCA's. They'll mess you about as much as they can (as I found out when they set up a DD to take debt payment and set the amount at 'zero' so I'd default instantly and they'd try and get more money - I now have all set on standing orders so I KNOW they're being paid!)
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Can see you are all fans of the DWP then...lol

The supervisor called me back and they have deferred the interview.I have to go to the medical if they call me am waiting about that one..so willput it to the back of my mind for now...they don't have to worry about finding me a job as I have my cab for when I'm fit enough to drive it...lol

DD1 eventually found a suitable house today for her and DGS...she was 3 floors up in a flat....so I've lent her the money for deposit....doubt I'll see that back again....she gets the keys tomorrowso is busy packing at hers...

Still not done the accounts but have been number crunching on personal finances...(can feel a new diary coming on)....

I have put £15k in a savings account...2.6% interest towards my bust the mortgage challenge...
Have left some money in the bank account for emergencies for the next two months and then will transfer it back into the savings.

The mortgage was more than I thought due to having took money out of it a few times since christmas....

    So here are the figures

    Mortgage......£46033.20
    Savings........£15010.00
    Owing..........£31023.20

    Xmas Saver!
Don't start me on the DWP - bear in mind I do mystery shopping, but have the money paid into a seperate account, (coz I send in bank statements) and invoices etc every month, now had a letter to say they want the years worth of wage slips, and the bank statements - doh - what am I doing every month, wouldn't mind but last yrs earnings was £250...........

Now I'm having to be dragged through the rings and send all accounts in, all dd's bank books, becuase I sent a letter saying injured my knee, therefore I was taking a break, but would let them know when I resume........ being honest is just not worth it.

Thats brilliant news about dd and jj with the new home, and so plzed u can help her out.

    You take care xx
